Only thing I want is for the Riddler to have the same twisted, disgusting, offensive sense of humor that he did in Batman: Arkham Asylum. For those of you who have that game, listen to the tape (if you found it) of his 4 legs, 2 legs, 3 legs riddle. It is one of the most sadistic things I have ever heard in any form of media.
Spoiler
Riddler: I have another riddle for you doctor. What walks on 4 legs, then 2 legs, then 3 legs?
Doctor: That's simple, the answer is man. As a baby, he crawls on all fours. As an adult, he walks on two. And as an older adult, he relies on his crutch to hold him up.
Riddler: Your answer is wrong.
Doctor: Ok, Nigma. What is the answer?
Riddler: The answer to all three is a baby. Sure it crawls on 4 legs, and can stand on 2, but if you chop off a limb it can't help but hobble on 3!
Doctor: That is sick. What is wrong with you?
Riddler: Hahahahahheheheheheheahahahahbahahahahbaha
Let me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I was playing the game with two friends and we listened to that tape...we all looked at each other and just wondered if he just said that.
Who was the previous actor that declared he wanted a Batman role? Was it Robin Williams? I seem to remember that he wasn't received very well for being so forthright as opposed to being asked by Nolan and WB first or something like that. I suppose fans should make sure they're not too hypocritical and respond the same to Norton as well.
I think Norton would be pretty interesting because that would ensure (at least in my book) that they are going for a character who drives more with his words rather than being too much of a physical threat. I'm not saying that Norton is a scrawny guy because he's not, but that's where I think his delivery will come. I don't really expect him to take on Bruce Wayne as Batman, especially given the workout regimen Bale will be having this filming off-season.

It depends... are we getting American History X Norton??

I mean even with Pride & Glory Norton, his little bar fight with Colin Farrell was almost laughable that something like that could be close to fair.
I'm just guessing that if The Riddler is involved in the movie, he will play but one part of the evil striking Gotham. Maybe he kills Mr. Reese after finding out who Batman really is as a result and haunts Bruce Wayne with threats about exposing him or whatever through riddles. Maybe he blackmails him, I don't know. But meanwhile, we could have another villain like Black Mask who could be everybody's enemy and wanting to gain all sorts of power within Gotham.
You know, I don't really know how to create a Batman story, I'm not really a big Batman fan. I'll just leave it up to Nolan to do the right thing with the story.

Lol! I get where you're coming from man. The Riddler shouldn't be a "physical" threat anyway... he's all about matching wits with Batman. I'm confident Nolan will do us right with this.
Nobody that has publicly stated that they wanted to be involved with Nolan's Batman franchise has been involved (unless they were previously involved such as Murphy).
Anyway, Nolan can go a million different ways with who he brings in from the gallery of villains. Obviously Batman will need to be underground since there's a manhunt for him since everybody think he killed Dent. Logically, they will be trying to uncover his identity and I think the most obvious villain to bring in would be The Riddler. Since Rachel is gone, it would be nice to see Selina Kyle brought in as a love interest. Personally, I would like to see Deadshot be brought in to go along with the whole manhunt thing.

Remember though, they are out for Batman, not Bruce Wayne. As far as we're concerned he can just go on living his life without the Batman suit, unless of course he is figured out to be Batman.
And on that notion, I have a feeling this will take place at least a year or so later, or perhaps the bulk of the story. I think they want to go back to a rebuilt Wayne Manor instead of being back in the penthouse, and that will be far enough away from Bruce to still be sulking over the loss of Rachel.

IMO this movie is perfectly built for having the Riddler figuring out that Bruce is Batman and then you go from there. I'd make the Riddler resemble the way he's been portrayed lately in the comic books as more of a deductive reasoning type. (last I saw he went straight and had a detective agency) So maybe making the Riddler someone with a criminal history but also working with the cops until he lets ego get in the way and commits a crime.
Perhaps Bruce can come up with a credible excuse for why he's not Batman and the Riddler snaps going after people Bruce knows.
"shrug"
I think Norton would make a good Joker.

bruce wayne needs batman just as much as batman needs bruce wayne, so that isn't really feasible.
I for one would like to see two villains throughout the whole film, and maybe the riddler takes a back seat until the end when he figures out who the batsy is.
