I still will never quite understand the gushing over The Joker in TDK. In order of the first being most impressive I'd say:

    Scarecrow
    Bane
    Joker

The scene where Scare crow asks, "Would you like to see my mask"...is still one of my favorites.
I actually liked Bane the most. So eloquent, yet such a powerhouse. Not saying I didn't like the joker or scarecrow, they were awesome too. It's like picking your favorite kid. Except I don't have kids so it doesn't really apply. But if I did, I'd want him to be Bane.

Something I thought about today. If you were a person living in Gotham and on the day of all of the explosions and after hearing that Bane speech...Why wouldn't you go to a lower populated area and just swim across the river to safety ? I don't think it was that cold on the day where he blew up the field I could be wrong though.

Saw it for the second time tonight. I think I liked it better this time around. The expectations were just so obscenely high the first time, nothing short of a complete masterpiece was going to satisfy me.

I kept thinking that myself, wondering if anyone would dare do that. I don't know if anyone would risk it, though. Should you do such a thing, you will be risking your life and the lives of twelve million others.

However, I kept thinking some idiot would just try and give attention to themselves or try and call their bluff by crossing. No city is that civil altogether.

When it became winter, this was impossible anyway.

I just went through the first 5 pages of this thread for kicks (don't have time to go through more). When everyone thought Eddie Murphy was cast as The Riddler....

I think it would be dumb to try it a little while after the speech. But if you did it like right away when almost his whole underground army is there I would do it in a heartbeat. Low risk of being seen.

Interesting, I would reverse that order personally but each to their own.

I saw TDKR yesterday and I admit at first I was slightly disappointed but after thinking back on some of the epic scenes and listening to Kevin Smith's podcast (his Bain voice was near perfect ) I'd probably put this as my second favorite of the 3 and I can't wait to go back and watch them back to back.

Sure there were some plot holes and a few wtf moments like the police all looking immaculate after months of living underground etc but overall I loved it and can't wait to see it again.

I'm almost done with the novel, but so far I prefer the theatrical cut to a film with "this" cut.

Just scanning the dialogue I can tell they cut out a few lines from Bane's introduction. I haven't gone past that, though.
