Re: Gran Torino
Watched this last night and I thought it was a really good movie with no real complaints. The character that played Tao was a little stiff at times with his dialogue but other then that it was great imo.Comment

Re: Gran Torino
Reminds me of the story earlier this year where an 80 something year old man disarmed a knife wielding attacker, beat the crap out of him, and held him until help arrived. That wasn't the best part, his quote was something like.."I fought the Nazis who charged with bayonets on their rifles...I wasn't afraid of this punk."Comment

Re: Gran Torino
I heard that there was NO previous acting experience for any of the Hmong people. This was supposed to be REAL and it was.
This movie was amazing and I watched it with 10 other people.

Watched this a couple days ago for $6 as the movie theater had some kind of deal going.
Solid movie and pretty enjoyable. I thought Clint was pretty bad ***.
SpoilerOf course until the end where he started singing. What the hell was he thinking?Comment

Re: Gran Torino
I was turned off by the racism towards the start of the movie, and darn near turned it off..... but they did a good job of bringing it full circle.....and it ended as a decent movie...
LOL Defel, I didnt even need to read your spoiler to know what scene you were talking about...Comment

Re: Gran Torino
Saw the movie today. A pretty good movie. The racism was sort of funny because it wasn't necessarily pure racism. I enjoyed the movie though. It wasn't about an 80 year old vigilante, which is what the commercials screamed out, the heart of the movie was beyond that.
Side note: Clint's gotten old!!!Comment
