    How in the heck could you not realize it's the same director? He has about the most recognizable style of directing I think that there is in Hollywood.

      lol I knew zero background to this movie going in and wasnt paying attention to comparing directing styles. My girl wanted to see it so we saw it. It was pretty good

        Just got back from seeing this flick. I loved it, not very familiar with Raimi's previous movies but I absolutely loved this. The one thing I couldn't stand was the people in the theater screaming at the non scary parts, the chick sitting next to me kept telling her boyfriend that she wanted to go after the first minutes. Like others have said it's a great mix of scary/humor/gore.
        I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
