AICN claims to have found out that there's no truth to the LatinoReview report. I wish WB would get a new Superman project going soon.

The Review says Brainiac, i always thought Brianiac would be a terrific villain because he could easily be some sort of real, not only that, but he can create himself a body powerful enough to go hand to hand with Super

          Variety reported it. It's legit.

They need to keep Tom Welling, he's the best Clark Kent / Superman in a while. Even Christopher Reeve thought so before he died, that's why he starred in the show so many times.

That's stupid that Brandon Routh isn't going to be in this. With a character like Superman you need the same guy to play him. It's not like Batman who wears a mask most of the movie.

It's a shame Routh is not going to be in the next movie. I think he nailed the Clark Kent/Superman personas quite well. The guy can't help it if it the script was a bit lacking.

I guess I could deal with Welling in the role though i've never seen Smallville.

Though it wouldn't make too much sense considering he is already Batman, I think Christian Bale slightly fits Superman's physique. Of course, I don't know if I can fathom him growling, "FOR TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY!"

However I tell you what... I don't know what it will take for him to become a household name, but this would be a step in the right direction.

Christian Bale was one of the starring actors in TDK - one of the highest grossing films of all time. I'm sure people know his name/likeness by now. And I don't see Bale as Superman. John Hamm maybe?

I sure hope they do, but my dad is one of those forgetful types when he wants to be, and whenever he sees him he always asks me:

"Who's that guy again? Where have I seen him before?"
                      "That's Christian Bale, dad. Batman."
                      "Oh, yeah."

I'm just saying he's not a household name yet, which is only unfortunate. He's my favorite actor, hands down... but I think he needs to do more to ensure that everyone knows who he is. Much like Christopher Nolan... for the Inception trailer, they have to say, "From the director of The Dark Knight" as opposed to someone like James Cameron could have a trailer that says, "From director James Cameron."

I don't really either, but I was just saying he slightly has the physique, plus the fact that Nolan and Goyer are heavily contributing to the movie, and he's starred in Batman as well. It just makes sense that way, though I don't see it happening.

If this is true I don't know why they would need Goyer - hell if it isn't true I don't know why they would want Goyer over Nolan.

You are right Routh was a great Clark/Superman he seperated the characters very well. I enjoyed Superman Returns but he couldnt help the problems that the script had he could only do so much. I also liked Spacey as Lex Luther.

From all the stuff I'm reading it looks like this project is moving faster than a speeding bullet. Sorry I just had to.
