Not to nitpick but Travolta played Vincent Vega.

This list loses all credibility to me without Jules being 1 on the list(IMHO). How many lines can you quote from Jackie Brown? Now, how many lines (especially from Jules,) can you quote from Pulp Fiction?

I think his movies speak for themselves.

Eh, while I won't argue that Quentin has made some memorable movies and that the man is a great dialogue writer (one of the best in the business) he is talked about way too much in the industry.

People automatically think his next movie is the greatest story ever told before even watching the film. That just irks me when a director gets into that status.

I prefer to watch the movie and ignore who made it. Quentin's Grindhouse movie Death Proof was enjoyable but as a film it was horrible. It's only memorable moment was the diner scene where the four girls talk and the camera rotates. That was the only opportunity I had as a viewer to fall in love with the characters. The end driving scenes were awesome but a classic film that does not make.

I think a lot of people are too hard on Kill Bill, which is more intelligent than it gets credit for, but honestly, Quentin hasn't made a solid movie since Pulp Fiction (granted I haven't seen Jackie Brown).
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

You have to see Jackie Brown.

I didn't mean for this list to be sacred. The list loses a little credibility to me with Keitel's Mr Wolf not on it.

I love Brad Pitts character in True Romance. Only a couple scenes, but he is hilarious as that stoner/burnout.

No doubt Jules should be #1 IMO. Vincent Vega should be in the top 10 as well.

And I could sure quote a ton of lines from Pulp Fiction. It's crude, but a great movie indeed!!!

BTW, "Do they speak English in what?"

I have high hopes for Inglorious Bastards, but Tarantino hasn't gotten me excited for a long time and Death Proof didn't help matters since it (apart from the driving scenes) was horrible.

No Christian Slater from True Romance? I thought he played that part very well.

I find it tough to argue with Pam Grier taking the top spot... Jackie Brown as a whole was genius, IMO.

I'm definitely surprised that Vincent Vega wasn't on the list. Travolta played that part perfectly. Without Ezekial 25:17, I'd like Vega more than Winfield in Pulp Fiction.

Vega and Winfield are unbeatable together.

True Romance is just an awesome movie with a collection of odd-ball characters. The scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken is classic. Plus, Val Kilmer as Elvis? Awesome.
