I find it tough to argue with Pam Grier taking the top spot... Jackie Brown as a whole was genius, IMO.

I'm definitely surprised that Vincent Vega wasn't on the list. Travolta played that part perfectly. Without Ezekial 25:17, I'd like Vega more than Winfield in Pulp Fiction.
Surprised that Travolta's "Vega" didn't make the list.

      Indeed.
      jackie Brown was just average.
Kill Bill 2 was 1 1/2 hrs too long.
Deathproof was dull, and he was only a writer on True Romance.

I like a lot of QT's movies but after watching Death Proof I think the guy has an over-inflated ego who believes he can write any dialogue and it'll be good.
Death Proof was 150 minutes long with only 10 minutes of action.
The dialogue between the 2 sets of woman was horrific. I mean horrific. I was nearly bored to death. LITERALLY!

I eventually fast-forwarded through a lot of the 2nd groups dialogue just to get to Russell's scenes.
He was the only thing that saved that movie. Especially his pathetic state at the end.
For that alone I upped my 0/5 stars to 1/5 stars.

I also find I'm getting tired of his quaint wardrobe picks. All of the girls had some 70's retro outfits on. We get it, 'Welcome Back Kotter' t-shirts are funny. Or they were funny before everyone started wearing T-shirts like them.

I loved Death Proof. I thought it was a great movie, just for the reasons you stated. I love Tarantino's use of dialogue in Death Proof. It's realistic, which is where Tarantino excels.

I will agree that Russell was awesome as well.

I'm not sure you're really familiar with Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez's style (Rodriguez is basically Tarantino's disciple, they've done work on a lot of movies together and Rodriguez bases a lot of his style off of Tarantino's). The entire movie has the retro look of an old B-Horror movie. Everything about that movie is retro 70s feeling, right down to the cars. All of the primary cars in the movie are classic muscle cars. That's just Tarantino's style, and I personally love it.

I think Inglorious Basterds righted any wrong-doing Death Proof did.

Aldo was a good character, but the movie is average without Hans Landa.

I think Aldo and Hans were equally important characters.

Equally important? Sure. But they weren't the same in terms of quality. Nothing against Pitt (I'm a fan) or the writing, but the performance behind Landa elevated the character to another level.

I'm generally a Tarantino fan, but his next project Django Unleashed has me worried..

I sided with Spike Lee on his criticism of some of the dialogue in past Tarantino moves and the whole premise of Django has me questioning the dude's character completely..

Why are you worried? The story is based on similar movies.

Its not about the cast its about what the message of the movie will be and what undertones will be there.
