Re: IPod in the car?
This is the one I have in my car. Plugs into the lighter thing and ends up in the headphone jack of your iPod or other MP3 player. You tune it to the station it says on the little LED screen.
However, my girlfriend has one that's made for iPods. You plug it into where you usually charge the iPod and it charges your iPod and plays music. It's better because you get the charge and you don't use the volume on your iPod at all (just the car speakers). Works just like the other but it's specifically for iPods.
Just go to a Best Buy or something and ask about them. I've never had a problem with static with my girlfriend's, but with mine, since I can use both the volume on my iPod and through the car speakers, it can get messed up a little bit. But never had any problems when it's raining or anything like that.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

It's a great product, very sturdy and if you can hide the aux wire like I did in my car, it looks like a custom installation for your iPod.Here's a confession: I'm in love with a man. What? I'm in love with a man... a man named God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha.Comment

Re: IPod in the car?
Direct line-in is the way to go, whether you get a whole new deck or just have one installed. You can get the cord for about $15 bucks, I think... then if you're good with installing stuff like that, you can do it yourself, or you can have someone install it for you (for a price, of course).
I used to look at them on www.crutchfield.com. You can start at http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/a...tml%3ftp%3d120 to find out if they have an adapter for your car.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? I had an iTrip FM transmitter for my Nano. It worked pretty well, but the only downfall was that it didn't charge the battery as it played. It died within 2-3 hours.Comment
