    Slumdog Millionaire

Guys who are looking for an under the radar type film, check this one out. Received pretty good reviews from RT.

Not the greatest thing ever, but it's a nice window to some of the harsher parts of India.

      Wow.

I just watched this and thought it was absolutely fantastic.

The second half dragged a bit, but led to a great conclusion.

Very City of God like, but replacing the drugs with gameshow

Watched it yesterday during a break from the snow. But man was I impressed. Might be up there with dark knight as the best movies i've seen all year long.

everyone go check it out. definitely recommended.

I'm not usually into under the radar "indy" type movies but the ones I like I tend to really enjoy. I'll look into this one.

Just caught this on Saturday. Awesome movie all the way around, and the Indian chick in it is Smoking. Highly recommend it.

I guess I'm the only one not terribly impressed by it. The cinematography was amazing, a harsh look into the lives of some of the poorer parts of India was interesting, and the pace of the movie was well done. But the only character I really had any reaction to was Salim, the older brother. The main character and the girl was sort of .... eh. The plot was very predictable, and I'm the one that usually doesn't like to predict anything about a movie, but it was painfully obvious from the start. I didn't hate the movie, I just wasn't overall wowed by it.

I agree. It was a nice feel-good movie.. like I said in my original post, nothing mind-blowing. It was worth the money though, that's hard to say about 75% of movies at least to me.

I thought the game show host was the only interesting character. If he doesn't actually have his own game show, he should. Movie was still very enjoyable.

                            Re: Slumdog Millionaire

I just watched it last night. I heard it was good from one of my friends and I saw it posted on here but kinda dismissed it not knowing what it was. I IMDB'd it last night and saw it was like an 8.7 so I decided I'd see it. The storyline in text seemed kinda cheesy and cliche to me but the way they managed to show it in the movie was fantastic. I had a little bit of trouble getting around the accents but all in all it was great. Yea, it was a little predictable although it had enough balance to leave reasonable doubt in my mind as to if what was going to happen was really going to happen.

But it is a great look in lives of impoverished Indian kids. Great movie anyway, extremely surprising to me.
