It's not like there's less comedies or drama (BTW 10 PM is drama hour so your lament on comedies don't apply here) you can always switch over to ABC, CBS or FOX for drama when Leno's show is on.

I thought Carson Daily would bump into Conans slots. Fallon will probably suck for awhile, but I bet Conan sucked for a while too.

My only hope from all this is that Conan brings back Andy Richter.

Actually in that sense Leno's new timeslot should garner HUGE ratings.

As for Jimmy Fallon taking over late night? It has Chevy Chase written all over it. Fallon is gonna be a huge failure. It'll be interesting to see how long NBC sticks with him if indeed his numbers are weak.
I for one am glad, since I go to bed at 10:30 now at my job I can finally see some Leno before hitting the hay. I used to be a Letterman watcher but I quit watching because of his ridiculous politics he kept bringing into his show.

I'm just curious how all the moving works...

Do the hosts takes the bands or anything with them? Like will Conan still have Max and that band, or will he have to takes the current band Leno has?

And do they move studios, or does he record from the same studio, but they air it at Leno's old spot...

            Etc, etc.

I'm curious how different Conan will be with this change.

For the band thing I'm sure it's their choice, but I would assume Conan and Leno will keep their bands. (unless either are disappointed with the current bands, which I doubt)

I also saw an interview with Leno on NBC news and he mentioned about Conan being in New York, so I guess he is staying there and Leno wants to stay in Burbank. (im sure just a different studio)

What a great way to say "screw you Conan."

Jay interviews people better, but his sketches and jokes are horrible.

I agree. Conan has been a little more edgy. Master****** bear, etc.... when he moves up to 1130 does he stop that kind of stuff.

Conan had to stop the Bear thing a while back. His "edgy" is typically him going like a freaking nut. Which is great.

He's got FUNNY skits and he does a good job with guests and talking too them.

Leno is a personable guy, but he's just not funny anymore. His staff of writers are too much of the "Yes Man" types obviously.

I think Conan can still be "Conan" at 11.30. Finally he'll get to be seen by a greater audience that might find him quite amusing.

But this deal with Leno does steal a lot of "thunder" per say from Conan taking over The Tonight Show.

The Reason that Leno wins in the ratings is that most people think he's a nice guy. They view Dave Letterman as this mean old bigot that's finally losing touch... or at least I see that written about him.

Fox at 10 is news, at least in Baltimore. So CBS and ABC.

They announced today Leno would keep his band for the Jay Leno show including the band leader Kevin. He indicated he wasn't sure if they were going to keep the desk or do something different.

I'm confused... where did the half hour increments come from?

If Leno moves up to 10, doesn't that put Conan at 11?

You must live in the central or mountain time zone. On the East and West, Leno is currently on at 11:30 and Conan is on at 12.:30

Yeah, and basically it'll be 10-11 Leno, Local News 11-11:30, Conan 11:30
