Only using IE at work since I have no choice. I like FF better.

I don't know anyone under 25 who isn't completely ignorant about computers that uses IE.

Microsoft and a major security flaw? Really? The shock.

At my work I've made everyone switch over to FF with a IE plugin installed if nennecessary. necessary.

Although I can't totally be down on MS as any browser can get a huge flaw like this. The problem lies MS's slow response time which is unacceptable. Especially since they offer IE with every OS.

Firefox. Never use IE unless I'm absolutely forced to.

Can't say that I'm surprised either, I do have to use IE at work sometimes but fortunately I'm using FF 99% of the time.

You don't have to be a moron to use IE, and it isn't as bad as people make it sound. Other browsers will obviously also have holes and bugs. I've never had IE eat up 200+ MB of ram while running like FF. The primary benefit of using other browsers in this instance is that their market share is small enough to not draw the volume of attacks IE does. It doesn't help that many uninformed PC users will just use IE while leaving their computers unprotected anyways.

                      You make that sound minor.

For Firefox, up until the last 3 years or so, I didn't have a single popup or any problem with those types of problems. That's a pretty big plus to me.

Re: Are you still using IE?

Obviously, hackers can hack pretty much anything they devote their resources towards hacking. But they're going to concentrate on the most popular browser, and right now that's IE. I'm sure that if FF ever achieved the market share that IE did, they would be struck by similar security vulnerabilities that were exploited by Chinese hijackers. Hopefully their response time and how they addressed the threats from version to version of their software would be improved, but they'd face the same dangers.

So if FF ever becomes the browser du jour, we'll probably all have to jump off that for something else at some point. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Anyone else use Google Chrome? It's very similar to Firefox except its still in beta, so I don't think it's as good... I do think it runs significantly faster though, which is why I use it.

I asked about Google Chrome a few days ago and nobody responded. I heard it does run faster than FF, which really isn't all that surprising given FF's reputation as a resource hog. How do you like it? Is it really streamlined? And does it have anything that resembles AdBlock?

The only time I use IE is to check my e-mail. I can't figure how to go from my MSN messenger options to a FF supported version of my hotmail inbox.
