I think the song is decent, hopefully the album is good.

I heard this song before and I think Em was doing Dre's verse. I could be wrong though.

Hmm. I don't like it. Why? Well.....

you can't tell me this song stands up to those in any way (all eminem in some form BTW). Anyway. I'm still going to listen to it. I was more excited with the relapse freestyle....but this. meh. Lowers my expectations.

Em is a great rapper, especially when it comes to battle rap and storytelling, but when it comes to metaphor and depth of meaning, I don't think he was ever on Lupe's level.

Lupe may be deeper than most rappers (which essentially means nothing), but Eminem absolutely murders him in rapping ability.

Everything Em has put out in the last 8 years sounds corny to me. Em can flow but the subject matter and the accent he started to use kills it for me.

It HAS to be better than Encore.

I agree that if it comes to a battle rap, or a freestyle, Eminem is way ahead. But when I get to the end of the song, and ask, "what did you just say?" Lupe wins. For me, that means something. I like for guys to say something interesting, and have some perspective. That's when rap becomes like OTHER music, where guys can actually write songs about anything.

Eminem is stronger when he's either real angry, real funny, or he has a point. When his message is "we do drugs, we're real cool, don't mess with us", he's just a generic rapper + better flow and word fragments, but when it's over the song was about nothing. I feel like after a Lupe song, I can sit down with someone and have a discussion about his ideas.

I think Lupe would surprise you guys if he ever went solely for meaningless word gymnastics.

My point was that rap as a whole is so pathetic that by adding any depth, Lupe seems like a prophet. I like to call it the Nas Phenomenon.

Lupe is probably my favorite rapper going right now, but I wouldn't have a discussion about his ideas. That's a good bit overboard.

It's all opinion but The Marshall Mathers LP was Eminem at his best. His wordplay, anger, and overall lyrical content were at their collective peak. The Eminem Show was okay but he absolutely mailed it in on Encore. It's the worst album I've ever owned.

Marshall Mathers LP is still one of my favorite CDs to date. I was a fan of most of the songs on The Eminem Show and that does have my favorite Eminem song on it ('Till I Collapse).

I disagree with the comment about Encore. It was definitely his worst CD, but I still liked it. It was just a different sound and had a lot more duds than any other CD.

Song is f'n horrible, and no I'm not trolling just stating the obvious. There's a difference....and no, it's not ironic that I have a CAGE avvy. I actually like Em.
