      HA, loved that.

The cracks at NBC were great, but nothing out of the ordinary. 30 Rock always pokes fun at NBC. Its like The Simpsons. Queen Latifah was good with the speech thing, haha.

The funny thing is he plays the "gay kid" on the final episode of season 3 when Tracy goes back and does the speech for his old high school.

He was also a production hand on the show in one of the episodes (forget which one off the top of my head).

              Tonight is the live episode.

I believe there's going to be a studio audience and everything, which I have mixed feelings about.

I hope they put the west coast version online somewhere, because I know I read they might change a few jokes for that crowd, since they have to do it twice.

                Re: 30 Rock/Tina Fey

This is usually a stunt for critically acclaimed shows that need a gimmick to get people watching. The classic example was the ENTIRE SEASON (I think 2nd or 3rd) of Roc which was live. BTW that was a damn good show too bad it didn't get a huge following. Anyways looks like the gimmick works as i'll be watching this.

The studio audience part is the most intriguing thing though as the kind of humor on 30 Rock just doesn't lend itself to the classic sitcom studio audience "setup, punchline, laugh" scenario.

This could either go like gangbusters or fail spectacularly.

Tina Fey was once head writer on a large scale live variety show...I'm sure the writers and the cast will be able to pull it off fine.

Oh i'm sure they'll tailor it more for a studio audience.

I've watched bits and pieces. I find the show to be funny enough especially Alec Baldwin.

So they're doing two live shows tonight? East coast and West coast? Trying to find a stream for it right now but no dice.
