Re: Switching from Starbucks to Dunkin' Donuts?
There is no Dunkin' Donuts on my side of New Orleans (Westbank) and my trips to Metairie (other suburb side of New Orleans and they have at least one DD) are usually for partying, so I really can't offer an opinion. At Starbucks I usually buy a triple(extra shot of expresso-total 3 shots) venti vanilla latte or a venti doubleshot with with 4(not 5) shots of expresso. At the grocery store I will buy the Starbucks Doubleshot Light for about $6 a 4 pack.

I used to hate coffee but it grew on me when I got older. Can't go wrong with tea either.Comment

Re: Switching from Starbucks to Dunkin' Donuts?
I wouldn't be able to live without coffee! I need it in the morning, or else I won't wake up. I've read a study that showed that the caffeine doesn't really wake you up in the morning (for regular users), but it's more the overnight withdrawal being stimulated that brings your body back to form. Either way, whether it's psychological or not, I need it.
BTW, when I'm in Canada, I'll always go for a Tim Hortons coffee over Starbucks and DD. In the US, I usually goto Starbucks. During my stay in L.A I'd have 1 or 2 cold coffee drinks from Starbucks everyday. Iced Caramel Macchiato; now that's a wonderful drink!Comment

Re: Switching from Starbucks to Dunkin' Donuts?
Ok, I confess, I really like Starbucks coffee. But I don't ever drink a regular cup of joe, I like coffee drinks like flavored lattes and such. However, due to a number of growing irritations with Starbucks, I'm mulling the switch to Dunkin' Donuts. I figure I could get a drink that's at least comparable if not better, maybe mixing it up with a smoothie here and there, as well as enjoying DD's breakfast sandwiches which are way better than anything Starbucks offers.
I've heard DD provides a better cup of regular coffee than Starbucks does, but I've heard very little about their flavored lattes and other assorted coffee drinks. Can anyone shed some light on the scene at DD in this department for me? I'd like to make the switch, especially since I think our local DD is open 24 hours and I won't be shut out when I want to make a late night coffee run.
Thanks....Comment

Re: Switching from Starbucks to Dunkin' Donuts?
I don't drink coffee. I'm a hot chocolate guy. Why is this relevant? Probably not, but I mention it because I think Dunkin' Donuts hot chocolate is the worst. It is great if you're constipated because I guarantee you'll need to use the restroom after drinking their hot chocolate. For that reason, I only go to Starbucks or other specialty coffee shots to order a hot chocolate.
I've always wondered about DD's coffee. Since I don't like the hot chocolate, I just assumed that their coffee must be horrible too. Guess I was wrong.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

That part of the movie is hilarious. I don't know what it is, but everytime I hear that song I laugh and suddenly end up in a great mood. Wham!"Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment
