I'm even more convinced that it's all a joke. I can't see the Academy approving a joke about one of their more loved actors. They probably have an inkling of an idea that Phoenix is pulling a fast one on them so they'll have some fun along the way.

Anyone know the point of this sing-a-long right now?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Beyonce is hot and looked hot, but her lip-syncing totally sucked. Just sing.

Wikipedia is damn fast at getting stuff up. They were literally halfway up the aisle to accept the award on his behalf and wikipedia says-

"Heath Andrew Ledger (4 April 1979 – 22 January 2008) was an Academy Award-winning Australian television and film actor."

Mahr seems pissed he didn't get nominated. I know on Leno a few weeks back he semi-bitched about it.

Mahr was funny, but now he pushes his agenda up in your face so much that he's more annoying than funny anymore.

Funny thing about the TDK nomination in Visual Effects is, it rarely had any cgi at all.

Maybe that's why it didn't win, lol.

Aside from its token "Best Animated Film" award, Wall-E is getting no love tonight. I figured a film that told its story primarily through visual effects and sound effects would win something.
