    Re: Inglorious Bastards

saw it last night. it was great. i thought it'd have more action compared to QT's other movies...but there was not one dull moment. every scene was interesting..

im not a big brad pitt fan and got annoyed by the way his character was speaking...but he was the best part of the movie. some great lines in hte movie by him.

I just got back, it was a great movie. Some really funny stuff, and some really good action. The climax was built up so well, I was literaly on the edge of my seat for the last 30 or so minutes.

Oh, and "the jew hunter" was HILLARIOUS

        Re: Inglorious Bastards

Best movie of the year so far for me, I love Tarantino and this was right up his alley.

Pitt was hilarious, nothing more to be said.

The guy who played the Jew Hunter (forgot his real name) was fantastic, brilliant performance. He was so comically sinister it was pure entertainment to sit back and watch. One of those guys that's so smart and knows what's going to happen in the future, and just makes his victim think they'll be okay. I love it.

The one casting I didn't like was Ryan from the office playing one of the Basterds. Just didn't fit at all, but perhaps it's because I'm obsessed with the office.

The climax was freakin' huge, and you can tell Tarantino is one effed up dude. Oh man if that would've happened in real life....

Also, a question. Anyone notice how the subtitles woulod change? Like one line it would say "merci" and the next it would say "Thank you", even though they are the same.

I actually didn't notice that but for some reason they kept showing "oui" instead of yes.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

                  Could be his best...

It felt slow at first and yes the dialogue is heavy BUT that's sometimes how a movie CAN pull you into it's premise.

How's the violence in this one compared to his other films? Feel free to use spoilers.

Extremely violent. The part in the trailer about scalps wasn't a joke.

The best Tarantino has ever done, no doubt. He will never top this.

I thought it was great but I don't know if it's better than Pulp Fiction or even Kill Bill. Plus, I accept the movie as fiction but the idea of the comical Hitler and other Nazi high command left me uncomfortable.
