I don't mean that I think it will top TDK, but in terms of pre-release excitement I think that I am super amped for the originality that this movie is built to have. I don't think we will have seen anything like this, and I just can't wait to see what surprises Nolan has up his sleeve for this one.

Oh yeah, I understood what you meant. I was just saying that my excitement for Inception is maybe a notch below TDK

            Hoo-rah!

The only dilemma I face is that I am driving to Huntington Beach that Thursday and three of our family members (my mom and younger sister) are staying in a one bedroom hotel, waking up early the next morning for a softball game. I don't know if I'll be able to sneak out in the middle of the night for a midnight showing of this movie or not. I really hope that I can, but I'll have to figure out something.

Hmm ... I just realized that perhaps a midnight show might not be the best idea for me. Considering that 1) I'm not a night person and get sleepy very easily, and 2) I'm probably going to need to be REALLY awake and aware for this movie, maybe I'll just have to watch it in the afternoon

I hope this is as much as a mind **** as the trailer makes it out to be.

I feel they aren't doing that, but I always worry this too.

Here's why I think we're in the clear: After seeing The Dark Knight trailer multiple times before seeing the movie, a lot of things you simply forget about when seeing it. Then there are a lot of takes that are only there for the trailer's sake (like The Joker's "Kill the bat man" line), and a lot of times you will take some shots out of context or expect them differently from how they turn out.

But I truly think Nolan has kept most of the high points under wraps to the point that we can't even guess possible outcomes. I think this is a project that he can't afford letting some big scenes escape him. After all, this movie is 148 minutes long. Either there is a lot of dialogue or there are a lot of things we have yet to see.

Reviews have already started to roll in. Looking good so far. Granted, haven't read anything more than the snippets of each one on Rotten Tomatoes, but you get the point.

Glad to see they are pouring out now. Can't wait to see what Armond White has to complain about this time.

Sadly, I don't know if I'll be able to get in a weekend showing. As I said I'll be in Huntington Beach (actually it will be in Chino Hills, but whatever) and my ever-so-paranoid mother is concerned about the part of town that I would be seeing it in. I really don't understand her sometimes.

I'll figure out what I have to do to see it though, hopefully on the 16th if not the midnight showing.

Blzr I'm in a similar situation as you, sans the overly paranoid mother. After anticipating this movie for literally months it turns out the trip to Atlantic City me and my friends plan falls on the Friday this comes out. So unless I can convince a friend or 2 to come out to see it with me at midnight and then drive down to AC on little sleep it looks like I may to wait until the week after.

If Armond White gives this movie a good review, the world will end the second he finishes writing it.

                                Haha I guarantee he won't.

6 reviews in on Rottentomatoes, each one is VERY positive on the film.
