    Hava Platinum & Titanium Devices

Anyone have any experience with these devices?

I know people compare them at most against the slingboxes and whatnot, but im thinking of buying one.

    Any thoughts

That's a really good deal -- the cheapest you'll find them otherwise is like $109, and sometimes they're up to $189. I would get one if I had $80 to burn this month... I'm waiting for the 720p/1080p one that will come out soon enough.

Damn, I thought this was 720. It says HD but I guess that isn't the case?

Well, there's apparently a firmware update (check the Woot comments, I think it was 2nd page) that can handle 720p. I'm just gonna wait it out because I plan to upgrade to 1080p before too long and want to be able to stream at that level if possible..

That deal is freaking awesome man jump on it if you can NOW

It'll likely not be on sale in a snap like tomorrow

Dude its totally worth it and if you want to see the quality it can produce, check out this site... this is the guy who put me over to getting it after reading his blog, looking over his Q A session and seeing his vids

I have the Platinum. It will accept 720p/1080i but on your computer it will down-res to 720x400. If you're wanting this for slingbox capabilities, I can't comment on that; I solely wanted it for video capture. But if you're wanting HD video capture, pick up a Hauppauge HD-PVR. I don't believe it can capture in 1080p though.

Then what you want is the Hauppauge HD PVR

It costs ALOT more but you can get the quality, and it doesnt have all the functions the hava does

                          Promise you wont be disappointed.

Ive only recorded a couple of minutes of footage of nba 2k9 and watched it on playback on my wife's laptop, but it was just a test

btw, read the guys blog that i posted and he'll tell you how to get the best quality out of the box

I love how you can control this thing from a remote location and even use it to watch tv from there

                              LOL Wow already?

That's the best one they have on the market right now and that price is excellent for what you get when I think aout it.

Yeah I wished he had played more sports games too, and same with the guys on youtube but I had a chance to do it myself so im good.

If you have any issues with setup after you get through as far as you can go, call the tech support. They sound like they're from India but they're very helpful
