For those interested, www.imsdb.com (Internet Movie Script Database) has an early version of the screenplay available to read. It's pretty interesting. There were some differences (some big ones) and things that they either left out on the cutting floor or that were changed in the final draft.

I had fun reading it though.

I read some of that and was reading some comments on the imdb message boards. There was some debate that the park scene where Tom and Summer meet and he says he's happy for her didn't happen.

For me, either way it led to the same conclusion and doesn't change my opinion of either character.

And some people didn't like the fact that his 12 year old sister was giving him relationship advice. IMO, it serves 2 purposes: 1) shows that Tom really had NO clue about how relationships work and 2) A tongue-and-cheek way of showing how EVERYONE (even a 12 yo) can see a relationship going nowhere EXCEPT for the person wanting to keep it together

If you liked the music from 500 days of summer and enjoy Weezy, now there's http://www.500daysofweezy.com for your enjoyment.

I enjoyed a few songs. Very well done mash-up album.
Here's a confession: I'm in love with a man. What? I'm in love with a man... a man named God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha.

          So a big favor:

The very very very very last song of the film... what is it? LOL

I'm talking when the credits are rolling and as it cuts out at the end of the credits.

A song with no words just acoustic and sounds like a ukulele playing... it was such a soft beautiful song. The very last song of the entire thing, it's not on the soundtrack or bonus tracks.

          Thanks!

I absolutely love this movie. I've watched it twice now, and still can't get over how similar I am to Tom.

BTW here's a funny short clip they did building off the "Sid & Nancy" thing. It's hilarious. NSFW

              Bumpage.

I watched this yesterday and I think this is a film that gets better with each viewing. There's a ton of subtle humor throughout, whether its in the way the script is written, the actors' expressions, or just the whole context of it, this is really a hilarious movie book-ended with some heavy, emotional ****. Anyway, I think my "new favorite" part of the film is:

              Spoiler

I just thought that was a simplistic, but very nice touch. Something that doesn't kind of hits it on the nose, but doesn't wallop you over the head like the girl's name at the end (which I do like that reveal).

Any of the stuff in here in the deleted scenes? I'm reading it now and the stuff with the previous girls is awesome.

Does the DVD have any extended or deleted scenes? I just bought the DVD from Amazon. BTW, interesting side note about Amazon, apparently if you buy the DVD of a movie, they give you a free 24 hour rental for that movie.

I saw this movie the first time when it come out, right as I was getting into a relationship. Ironically my gf at the time suggested it. Well I just got out of a relationship with said girl and saw this movie again. It's interesting to me how my perspective changed when watching it this time.

Loved the movie both times, I think I saw it more for what it really was this time though.

Yeah, there's a reel of deleted scenes. Some of them could have been included in the film since they were from the script, but I think its best without them.
