Re: SAW VI Discussion - Jigsaw
I was glad to finally see this film on Blu-ray last night without a crappy bootleg version like I did originally. This was a snippet from my review and what is in bold I feel very strongly about:
"With each passing year we have a new ‘SAW’ film to grace theaters and 2009 was no different when ‘SAW VI’ released before Halloween in October. As everyone knows, I am a huge fan of the ‘SAW’ franchise, but I do feel like this franchise is running out of gas. The sixth installment was excellent helping tie up many loose ends with Jigsaw’s past, yet it opened up new questions for the proposed seventh and eighth films in the series. Fans of the previous installments should give ‘SAW VI’ a chance if they have not yet, a lot is revealed in what was to be the final installment of the series. ‘SAW VI’ did bring in $34 million dollars worldwide which is the lowest for the franchise, yet still successful when considering the film was only made on a budget of $11 million dollars."Comment

Re: SAW VI Discussion - Jigsaw
I enjoyed SAW VI. I thought it was one of the more straight forward Saw movies since II. Plus, it tied up alot of loose ends and set up what should be a dandy in Saw VII. If it's the last one, fine, I've really enjoyed the series. Even if it has lost steam as time has gone on, this series is still better than most any other horror.Comment

Re: SAW VI Discussion - Jigsaw
Bought the Blu-ray yesterday, but probably can't watch it for a while (need to get the ol' PS3 fixed). Biohazard, do you know if the Saw Blu-ray that comes with the movie is a different transfer than what it originally was?
There has been a lot of news floating about lately that has left me displeased. Kevin Greutert, the director for Saw VI, was ready to take on the ambitious sequel for Paranormal Activity as director, set to release the same day as Saw VII. But Mark Burg (Saw producer) used an option in the contract to fire Saw VII director David Hackl and bring Greutert back over to Toronto to direct the next Saw sequel two weeks before filming.
This is going to be a big mess and is leaving Kevin in a rough patch right now. I feel really sorry for the guy, and can't help but think no good can come out of this. We all saw what it was like in Saw IV when director Darren Lynn Bousmann was already one foot out the door. We'll see where this goes.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I almost feel like SAW VII is going to be a mess and I am not excited for it by any means.Comment

No no, I'm asking about Saw 1. My version of Saw VI also has a Saw BD included, but I don't know if it's a different transfer from the original BD.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: SAW VI Discussion - Jigsaw
I didn't want to start a Saw 3D thread if there was one so I figure I'll just post in here for now.
I have missed the last two Saw's so I definitely need to catch up before seeing the new one but I really want to considering it's in 3D. I think it'll be pretty intense.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
