Re: Do You Believe In Ghosts?

Anyway back on topic....
I saw a ghost hunters episode last night where the guy laid a flashlight down on the floor in front of him. It was off, and he asked the ghosts to turn it on. At which point it turned on. Interesting.... You have to watch it yourself. Id like to come up with ways they did it. With all the camera tricks and whatnot i dont always trust videos. With that said, they seem to try to debunk things. Id like to hear theories how they staged this.
A few minutes before that they were "talking" to the ghosts. They were getting knocks as responses. Those are things that they could easily set up. Theres lots of things on that show. Some seem like they can set it up. Others..... well they seem to be a lil more difficult.
Since i know there are plenty of nonbelivers who like to disprove, id like to hear thoughts on the flashlight thing. And im one of those in the middle guys.Comment

the flashlight is one of those ones that you have tighten the top (screw on) and he set it to just barely off and he stomped on the ground and it turned on.
i mean that couldve been set up in any number of ways.Texas. Football. All. Day.Comment

Re: Do You Believe In Ghosts?
I believe in ghosts.
There's been too many weird things that have been documented over the years for me not to believe in them.
I've also heard a first-hand account from someone who didn't believe in any of that stuff until it happened to him.Comment

Re: Do You Believe In Ghosts?
Yea thats why its best to see the video (sorry i cant access youtube at work)
While thats not a bad thought, it didnt seem that way. Going by your thought (and remembering the way he laid it down) it should have lit up when he set it down. With that being said, sometimes the things that happen on that show appear very real. Sometimes it just makes me wonder if they set things up just to get ratings.Comment

They have done this on a few occassions. Its something that is extremely sensative andsomething sets it off almost so its bareley connecting. If it was a standard flashlight, turned off, then we'd have something.
The thing about ghost hunters is that they have taped thousands of hours of footage in what is reported to be the most haunted locations and they really haven't captured anything of note.
Paranormal State is just getting out of hand. Those clown psychics they have on that show are making stuff up right and left. They have not provided proof of anything either.
But I wouldn't discount there being ghosts. Its just these shows have never encountered them from what I can tell.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

J/w how much do you watch ghost hunters? I dont watch often but when i do, i usually see something worth while. Its usually enough that i would like to have someone to debate it with. The other side of it is, we have to trust they didnt set it up just for ratings.
Im one of those that just likes to talk about it. I dont really believe either way.Comment

The most compelling thing they caught on tape was a shadow of a man in a civil war hat down in the basement of some old civil war hospital or something.
They were at a bed and breakfast 1 time where a picture frame was miving on a table, but it looked more like a magnet was dragging it somehow to me. And the owner seemed a little too interested in having them say it was haunted like he wanted to market a haunted bed & breakfast. I called Scooby Doo in that whole scene.
Of all the shows, the ghost hunters are the best.
I can't stand ghost hunters international, they have some guy that looks like Malibou's most wanted on there that wheres a visor upside down and backwards. I wouldn't trust any data that he would put out.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Ok fair enough. I see things that surprise me but i dont have good skeptics around me. You have seen enough to have a good opinion. There was one time the camera man was knocked off his feet. I thought that was odd. Either way, its just entertainment. Im glad to know you have seen the show enough. My wife watches pretty much anything about ghosts....so I watch ghost hunters pretty much every episode.

I believe in Spirits and that they can have a presence. Not sure if that qualifies as a ghost, though I guess it would, so yes.Comment
