Under appreciated by the masses and the Academy. Unfortunate. Sam Rockwell does an amazing job in a solo act.

I thought it was ok. Was expecting better I guess. I probably wouldn't watch it again, glad people enjoyed it though.

This was one of the better movies I've seen over the last few years. It was definitely the best sci-fi film I've seen in quite a long time. I felt it payed homage to classic movies like 2001: A Space Odyssey very well and I loved that fact. Sci-fi movies have really taken a hit over the last few decades for me after flourishing in the 60s and 70s and I hope we see more movies like Moon in the future to revitalize the industry.

                Re: Moon

I thought it was quite good but it didn't seem to go far enough with the twist in the how and why. Just thought it could have delved a little deeper into the moral aspect of the story as well. I enjoyed it though and compared to the pretenders I've seen this year that are supposed to be enlightening movies (sorry Avatar and Basterds) this actually delivered in that you thought about it long after it was over and was substance over style which has become the exception rather than the rule lately.

Funny in that how much I liked it I really don't have any desire to watch it again, maybe because of it being a little bit light on the moral issue it introduced. Great but could have been an epic sci-fi movie. Can't wait for the director's next movie which will be in the same vein but down on earth instead.

I can't really understand all the "one of the best last year" comments. I thought the movie was pretty average. Rockwell is a great actor, but the movie itself was just very meh to me, I even fell asleep trying to watch it the first time. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't memorable in any way to me.

I agree. I was really looking forward to seeing this movie but was left somewhat disappointed.
I think the movie would have been much better if the twist wasn't revealed until the very end.
Still, it was a good movie. But it could have been better.

Yea, I can see that about the twist, but I don't agree that the film was about the twist.

He had to find out about the twist because finding that out is what drove him to trying to get out. I found that his escape plan was the real story here and it's what made me connect to the main character and see beyond the science-fiction cover of an otherwise drama-specific film.

This was one of the few movies I've seen recently where you feel emotionally connected to the main character.

I think the part of the movie that I liked, but realize others may not, is the idea of "coming to grips with yourself..." We all would like to think that we're so great that we'd love to live with someone just like us, but this movie reveals the problem with that kind of thinking...we're not always as good as we think we are.

I enjoyed that aspect of this movie...

FINALLY saw this. I bought it on Blu-Ray. It's on sale at Best Buy for $15. Mind blowing for real. I still don't know exactly what I saw. Especially the part...
