It draws alot of humor from the strangest things and non-sterotypical characters. Every week they catch me off guard with something I don't see coming at all.

Re: Better Off Ted
My favorite new comedy that's come out in the past couple years.
Phil: Linda, you can't hurt a baby.
Lem: Well, you can hurt them. They're not indestructible.
Phil: I meant it's morally indefensible.
Lem: Well, what if the baby killed a man?
Phil: You and your moral puzzles. I just love 'em.My football alliances: E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles AND Hokie Hokie Hokie Hi -
Re: Better Off Ted
I hadn't seen any advertising or anything for this show. Sad because I like it so far, have only seen the pilot after happening to see a friend's status message about it on Facebook.
I'm sure it will get cancelled.ABC's business model is to greenlight unique, interesting shows and then cancel them.

Re: Better Off Ted
The best episode was the one two weeks ago with the motion detectors that didnt see black people.
Classic material right there. Best part is when they put up a manual water fountain with a sign reading "Manual fountain for black people."
Hilarious and daring."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Better Off Ted
I think the pilot is still on Hulu if you want to watch it.
I am now through two episodes, loving this show but not optimistic that it'll last.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers

Re: Better Off Ted
Strange thing...a few people I know who saw that episode did NOT find it funny. One lady said it was hurtful to remind people of our ugly history as a country. I didn't agree but found it intresting that some people thought that way about the concept of the episode.Comment

Eh, people just don't understand humor. They'll find something wrong with anything."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Better Off Ted
Reading this thread just made me sad, I thought that since they put in behind scrubs and in front of Lost that they would bring it back for sure. Now I'm doubting it also as it's not getting too many viewers with such a great timeslot. My football alliances: E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles AND Hokie Hokie Hokie HiComment
