Re: Most Disturbing Movie You Have Ever Watched
Just watched Salo for the first time this past week, and while there were some shocking moments, I didn't have the reaction I expected from reading other people's opinions.
I was a little disappointed, in that I was hoping to be so repulsed that I couldn't finish watching it. I guess i have been super desensitized to everything in my life, because it just didn't get to me like it should have.
I've got the French movie, Irreversible from Netflix now - I'm hoping that it is the movie that makes me so uncomfortable that I can't watch it all.
I'm still looking for that movie. Next in my que is Cannibal Holocaust. So hopefully I'll find my most disturbing movie soon.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: Most Disturbing Movie You Have Ever Watched
Here's the Ving Rhames link, it's about six minutes. Dang, he's intimidating. Could be the shotgun, I dunno. He should play a drill instructor. *Warning* Swearing and disturbing images!<object width="425" height="344">

I thought that was just one scene that was supposed to be disturbing. I've seen that particular scene and didn't think much of it but of course it was out of context as it was just that scene.Comment

So, I watched A Clockwork Orange last night and I think the book is a lot more disturbing.

Re: Most Disturbing Movie You Have Ever Watched
Same here. I guess if I hadn't read the book, the movie would have been more interesting but despite that I did enjoy Malcolm McDowell's performance and Kubrick always had a knack for picking out eerie facial expressions and characteristics from his actors with his framing and lighting which definitely helped make the movie and its atmosphere.
