Vertical Limit

Very good blu ray transfer. Easy storyline to follow. Plenty of action. Kinda surprised I enjoyed this. Solid B rating.

I saw this back in theaters when I was a kid, maybe 12 years old. I got it on Cyber Monday during the goHastings deal and can't believe how cheesy some of the beginning effects were. Strangely however, they really picked up and I surprised myself yet again how awesome some of the later effects were. The avalanche stock shots were the only "out of place" things.

It was a great transfer, but it makes me wish this was shot in 2.35:1 or something. I know people like a full scope of the mountains, but I think this movie would have been better off with a wider frame.

How To Train Your Dragon - I really enjoyed this film. I thought the characters were all wonderful and it wasn't overloaded with side characters like "kids" movies sometimes tend to be. The relationship between Hiccup and Toothless was really well done and the scene where Hiccup basically learns how to ride by the seat of his pants was amazing - the visuals and the whole relationship in that scene was one of the best scenes of any modern animated movie. Plus, I have to mention the backgrounds and settings in the movie, I thought they all looked amazing.

I saw half of Forgetting Sarah Marshall cause it was on TV. It wasn't as horrible as expected and I enjoyed Russell Brand so I watched Get Him to the Greek today. It was really good (just short of fantastic) but wasn't Jonah Hill's character a waiter?

I saw half of Forgetting Sarah Marshall cause it was on TV. It wasn't as horrible as expected and I enjoyed Russell Brand so I watched Get Him to the Greek today. It was really good (just short of fantastic) but wasn't Jonah Hill's character a waiter?

Yeah Jonah was a waiter.

I think it is really good. Russell Brand is hilarious.

I watched From Russia With Love today. It is probably my third favorite Bond film (definitely top 5).

I haven't actually seen the movie yet but I've been under the impression that Jonah Hill is playing a totally different character.

Weird. When I heard it was a spin-off, I just assumed Jonah Hill was playing the same guy.

Saw Black Swan tonight and thought it was excellent.

Watched the town tonight with my free vudu rental. It was really good. I was wanting to see it in theaters but never got around to it.
