Yes quite a few people did. There was a discussion about it in the specific topic. Personally I liked Stacey best.

          Devil

I really enjoyed this movie. Even if the character development was minimal and the plot was simple. 7.5 out of 10

            Tales from Earthsea 7.2

Found this one to be interesting but sort of underwhelimg. The description on the back cover made it seem like Dragons were a big part of the story and all this chaos was happening etc. However it was just about 4 characters and how their intertwined.

Being a Ghibli movie and the studio that brought us Spirited Away and Princess Monokue, this one was sort of boring. But i hear the movie is based on a couple of novels which is probably why it felt sort of jammed, they tried to fit too many things in this one movie.

Re: What movies have you seen recently? Part 1

The Godfather I, II, and III - First of all, The Godfather I is one of my favorite movies of all-time, by far my favorite mafia movie. Micheal's transformation and rise to Godfather is amazing to watch unfold. Couple that with a simple, but effective storyline and Marlon Brando and its tough to go against it.

Godfather II, while not my favorite of the three, is a near masterpiece all its own. It is basically two movies in one - both a prequel and sequel. I found Vito's little segments to be more interesting because while we see Michael's rise to Don and trying to transform the family business, watching Vito set up the foundation for the family is intriguing. In "present time" of the film, we see Michael in a plot that is a bit more convoluted, though still entertaining. Again, we see the climax of the film with the 3 separate scenes of death as Michael is apparently abandoned at the top of his business empire.

Godfather III - I believe there is an awesome film in here, but its buried under some unnecessary ****. This is not a bad film - its not even just a decent film, I would go on the line and say its a good film. I mean, Al Pacino is the star of this trilogy and for good reason as throughout each film he's owns his scenes. To counteract that greatness, they put in Sofia Coppola as Mary. She pretty much sucked the life out of each scene, or tried to as best she could. She felt cold, forced, and just unprepared for the role. But then I'm not even sure if the role could saved with how ridiculous the side-story was with her and Vincent (Andy Garcia). There are several things that keep this film from living up to its potential and to the greatness of the other two films:
              Sofia Coppola
              Andy Garcia
              Mary & Vincent's relationship
Why the above relationship isn't made into as big of a situation as it should have been.
Vincent's exceptional transformation from Sonny Jr. to heir to the Don.

So basically, Godfather 3 is good; however, since it is painfully obvious where the film goes wrong and the massive contrast from those obvious flaws to the actual heart of the film really leaves me with a bad taste.

The Next Three Days...a pretty solid thriller. If you watch it, you will hate his wife. It's a bit too long as well, but well worth the watch.

Watched the killers. It was pretty good. Better than I thought it would be. Reminded me of that one movie with tom cruise and Cameron Diaz

Yea it was definitely sort of long, but i never had a distaste for his wife. Right after the events that unfold the movie, I went beyond if she had did it or not and felt Crowe's character in terms of feeling.

Ending was good so to say and did a good job concluding the movie.

Went to see Battle: LA. Meh. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, or at least I wouldn't recommend paying money to see it.

Way too predictable, their attempts at humor failed, and there isn't one thing I'll remember about the movie a week or two from now.

                              Grown Ups

Was better than I thought it would be, but had no direction or point as a story itself. Basically characters reliving their pasts while censoring their children from any mature term or visual. Lacked conflict and arc, but again... not bad and definitely re-watchable.
