Sin City and He Got Game. Rosario Dawson is pretty hot.Comment

Don Jon. Suprisingly, not bad or too "over-the-top" considering the main storyline. Definitely not your typical rom-com. Doesn't hurt that Scarlette Jo plays a vixen.Comment

Saw Scoop with Allen and Scarlett Jo and thought it was a decent flick.Comment

Speaking of JGL, I watched Looper and 50/50 recently and enjoyed both of them, especially Looper.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I haven't seen Wolf of Wall Street. American Hustle was pretty good, but I think people expected a faster pacing out of it and that's just not what you're going to get. It's not very eventful, either. Kind of just a throwback satire of actors having fun being somebody else for 150 minutes. That was good enough for me for a once-over.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Fargo- I watched this for a second time last night, but it was my girlfriend's first time watching it. She liked it. I liked it even more than before as I was able to pick up on more of the comedic side of film. Each situation is pretty comical even though there's some pretty damn serious **** going on and a ruthless killer involved. Still, William H. Macy is amazing in this, but Frances McDormand just makes me smile the whole time she's on screen. Superb job from her in what is one of my personal favorite "bad-***" roles.
I've been wanting to talk about this, but considering I had to stop watching it and do "Christmas prep" I didn't want to do a post on it. With that said...
Brink - Like I said I've only watched about half of it, but I can already tell from the tone, set-up and the pacing that it will be one of my favorites. Rian Johnson directs a young(er) JGL pre-Looper days. JGL plays a sleuthy, intelligent high-school student that tries to solve the death of his former flame. It pays homage ten-fold to old noir and gum-shoe detective films from the dialogue to the framing of shots.
Unless the second half completely dive bombs I see myself adding this to my personal library of physical media.

The Conjuring - Second time my wife and I have seen it but we watched it with my in-laws Christmas morning. (I know it's weird) This kind of movie is more my wife's taste but I enjoyed it. If you liked Insidious, you'll probably like this one.Texas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
47 Ronin. It was alright....wasn't a big fan of the CGI. Thought Red Cliff (part 1 and 2) was better.
Just a FYI: Today and tomorrow, if you spend $100 at Best Buy in one transaction you will get a free $15 Best Buy gift card. I bought $100 in Amazon gift cards and it qualified.
Gonna do the same thing tomorrow. It's 1 per day in store, it's 2 per day online.Comment
