Deep Space Nine was the #1 syndicated show in the USA in the 1990s. Would it flop if a movie was made today ? Probably because the younger generation is use to the BS Star Trek movies they make now. But if they made the movies during the 1990s and early 2000s it would have done well just like the Star Trek The Next Generation movies.

Yes, but what was their competition? People are familiar with the original and those characters are the most beloved ones, Kirk, Bones, Scotty, Sulu, Chekov, Uhuru and especially Spock. Not sure why you're referring to the remake movies as "BS". Granted the 3rd one wasn't that great, but the Khan re-do was superb, I thought.

Saw Jumanji earlier, and really liked it. Had a nice callback to the original, and Karen Gillan is a stone cold fox.

Agree on everything here...different but funny take on it.

Watched the new IT again last night on 4K Blu-ray. Such a good movie. I love everything about the new adaptation. Can't wait for IT: Chapter Two.

Watched Annihilation, it was terrible. I was very disappointed.

Great cast and decent enough performances out them, but the premise and writing was just bananas.

Took a couple of days off with the flu and watched Netflix funny, corny movies that I always get a kick out of. Apart from The Wedding Singer, my wife wouldn't watch any of these with me ever. I watched:

Star Trek: Into Darkness (again). Very good rewatch. Still wish Angus MacFaden would've been cast as Scotty all along:

I'm not usually big on alternate universe stuff, but the twists in this, especially the major one, was done well I thought. Good entertainment value.

The original Jumanji,I thought it was a good movie. Robin Williams parts especially was the best part. I think this might have actually been the first non voiceover movie of his I've seen since he died. He was one of my fave actors too.



The new one from last year I liked better than the original. The cast especially is what I loved. Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Dwayne Johnson together in the movie. Just made everything so funny and great. Might be in the minority, but I like Kevin Harts over the top reactions.

It was the silliness that got to me, or perhaps the immediate change from the other Thor films into this one. Literally everything had to be a laughing gag. I couldn't believe it. It barely even made me crack a smile, either. That's too bad, because generally these films do that. This one missed the boat by a longshot, though.

Visuals also weren't that good at all. Not just the CGI, but the overall green screen stuff too.

I was kind of meh about Thor at first but Ragnarok solidified him as my favorite Avenger. One movie (Infinity War) since he became my favorite and he's only catapulted himself further on my most favoritest list.
