If you thought Fallen Kingdom lacked dinosaur material, then don't bother with Dominion any time soon.

My hope is that the home video release will front end the movie with the prologue and Battle at Big Rock, and although that doesn't alleviate the missing dinosaur action in the middle act it will certainly add to the overall "world of dinos" experience that the movie was otherwise lacking. So maybe just wait until then.

      The Princess

      Just released on Hulu.

Funny, surprisingly brutal, and just a fun ride overall. Plenty of action to go along with just the right amount of humor, and kind of the perfect length for a movie like this clocking in just over 90 minutes.

Took a while but I finally saw Uncharted.

It really just feels like Spiderman Tom Holland in a different world, although I felt like he had way better chemistry in marvel movies than he did in this one with Wahlberg.

It was still a decent movie, although maybe I'm misremembering, but I felt like the Uncharted video game cutscenes were a better story than this movie.

It did have funny moments throughout, like making fun of when people undercover in movies always have their hand on their earpiece when talking to someone. And the whole setup with the wrong coordinates.

The final scene before the credits and the mid credit scene makes me excited for a second movie.

Memory - 10 out of 10. Liam Neeson best movie in a while. Loved every minute of it, especially the ending.

Awakenings: really enjoyed it; two great performances from Robert di Niro and Robin Williams. Will have to check out the book.

Been going on kind of a Jackie Chan kick lately. In the last like 4 days I have watched like 9 of his movies. I always enjoyed how me mixed fighting with humor and just the over all creativity in his fights. Watching new police story for the first time right now had no idea they made one after super cop and I guess there is even one more after this one. Some of the movies I have watched the last few days are ones I had seen but not in years and some are ones I have never seen before. Rumble in the Bronx, who am I and Drunken master 2 are all so good. The end fight in Drunken master 2 is so funny but also shows just how skilled he really is. So much speed in his fights.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

                Rewatched a few movies lately.

Knives Out: saw it in theaters, my wife hadn’t seen it so we rented the other day. Fun, funny. I think I liked it more the first time, but being able to know the outcome as it’s unfolding was a different perspective.

Into the Spider-verse: absolutely loved it first time around, this time I got to share with my son as he’s getting in to superheroes more. I loved the art/animation style so much. Gritty without being too over the top for kids.

The Big Green: probably seen this movie a million times, we had the VHS growing up. Almost like a soccer version of The Sandlot (including Ham & Squints), but it’s wild the kids movies and some of the underlying themes to the conflicts (illegal immigrants and alcohol abuse in this one) that you realize now as you watch as an adult. But that is real life and kids are smart. Are there still movies made like this anymore? I can’t think of any, but I’m not exactly looking. I’d love to share some modern movies of this type instead of just passing on what I liked as a kid growing up.

finally got around to seeing Treasure of Sierra Madre, a film from the 1940's.
a fantastic little movie especially considering it's in black-and-white.
my only problem, I was disappointed how the Bogart character turned out

                          Bullet Train

It was fun. To be honest it probably did fall a bit short of expectations. For the most part it walked the fine line between just silly-fun and silly-dumb just fine, but there were several moments that just seem to miss their mark.

                            Amor of god 2

First time watching this movie fantastic. One of the funniest Jackie Chan movies I have seen before but also really good fights and still some crazy stunts. Been loving watching Jackie Chan movies that I had never seen before and some that I had only seen like 1-2 times. Basically 3 woman and Chan trying to find gold in Egypt. I think I have like 11 Jackie Chan movies that I may need to buy now lol.

Hot Seat, pretty good Mel Gibson movie where he really isn't the star of a movie. 8 out 10.

Then browsing HBO Max, found The Last Dragon, an all time classic movie.

Lately I've seen Nope, Bullet Train, Fall, and soon to see Prey. I have to post about some of these soon, but the further out I delay it the less I'll probably be able to hone in on them.
