    Movies that dont get the respect they deserve....

    I just got back from seeing Drag Me To Hell with my girl. It was.... actually pretty good. But anyway, that isn't really relevant to this topic so I'm just gonna jump right in to the question. What movie(s) do you think were really good that don't get the credit you felt it deserved (for whatever reason) For me, I would say:

    1) Memento- this movie was put together so well. I've seen it five times and pick up something new each time. I don't wanna say too much about it, but it is the ****.

    Heck, why don't we throw in an overrated movie also (you guys will have to excuse the randomness of this post as I'm mulitasking).

    Overrated:
    1) Scarface - Just didn't like it. Couldn't get into it. I felt like I was forcing myself to watch it. I mean, I guess I can understand why its such a popular movie. I just.... didn't like it.

    2) House of 1000 Corpses - I know its not a very popular movie, but to know that even a few people enjoyed that movie baffles me. I hate when people say, "that was the worst movie I have ever seen", but that very well is in the top 5. I hate it. I despise it. I can't stand it. But even more embarrassing, I own it. Smh.

    What about you guys? Care to share your thoughts?

                      I feel like barely anyone (except the guys here) realize the brilliance of all Pixar movies up to date.

                              While I agree this movie was bad. I have to like it, because I know Sid personally, so I like all his movies. He does play a great bad guy though.

                                      Just saw most of Idocracy, heavily edited for TV , and found it to be really funny. Had no idea it even existed until I flipped it on bored in my hotel room...need to see it unedited from the start.

                                          Good call on Idiocracy. Probably my favorite comedy, and most everyone I talk to has never heard of it.

                                              Yeah, Idiocracy is underrated - not the best comedy by a long shot, but the idea alone deserves more credit than most people give it. Also, Mystery Men was underrated - that may be more of a nostalgic thing, but I still think it was a solid comedy.

                                                      I just actually saw Requiem.... slept on it I know - and enjoyed it. It was a good film.

                                                      To me, I think Full Metal Jacket is one of the best "War era" films ever made. I watch it every time it is on. Rotten tomatoes has it rated pretty highly, but I think alot of people have not seen it overall. I could be wrong, but I think it is a great film.

                                                          Blood Diamond is another one. RT has it rated in the 60's.... I thought it was one of DiCaprio's better films since Gangs of NY...
