Right now this movie looks like crap to me. I mean I usually like Johnny Depp but he's just annoying now. I liked him as Jack Sparrow and Sweeney Todd but this looks a whole like the Wonka crap that I hated. I predict this movie bombs. I could be wrong but I doubt it.LOL

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland
I actually preferred Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory over Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
Tim Burton is more goth than emo.
I think the way Burton is blending the CGI animation with the live action is pretty cool, he definitely gives it his own twist.

Re: Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland
I think you underestimate the power of both Depp and Burton. I can't even tell you how hyped my girlfriend is for this movie, mainly because of Depp. And I GUARANTEE you there are millions more out there that are the same as she is. I think you're letting your annoyances get in the way of fact: cool special effects, Johnny Depp, and Tim Burton = mega bucks made in the theater.Comment

Alice In Wonderland (Tim Burton's Version)
Quite simply fantastic!! Went and saw this tonight in 3-D with the fiance and my 9 year old son and what an experience. Depp was great as usual, as was his wife as the Queen. When Alice falls down the rabbit hole, it's quite a fall in 3-D. Highly recommended.Sorry if this is a repeat thread by the way.Comment

I've seen it get horrible reviews, but I will say a drug trip esque 3d experience of this movie is awfully appealing.Comment

Please use the search feature. Merged the two threads."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
