Buddy I was being sarcastic. I guess I have to make it more obvious next time.

280 million is what I've heard was the budget for this film. I think it will bomb.

          The budget was $130-$150 million.

Which is still outrageous and it looks like it was poorly spent.

The budget for Transformers 2 according to wikipedia was $200 million...

I guess so. I didn't pick up on it since you take shots at the other Avatar movie as often as humanly possible.

              My mistake.

That was an awesome read by Ebert. freaking hilarious. He just saved me some cash. Thanks Roger.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

All my friends who rushed out to see it last night hated it. I never cared for the series but that confirmed I wasn't going to see it.

For the love of God Hollywood....

Please quit giving this horrific "director" money to make movies.

He is a flash in the pan one hit wonder who has gotten significantly worse with each god awful piece of crap film he makes.

                    That is all.

Re: Shyamalan Presents: Avatar Last Air Bender

I'll start with saying this, If you have never seen the show, you would be pretty confused at a lot of what was going on, if you have seen the show; then you would be pretty angry about how much content was missed or messed up.

With all that being said, i enjoyed it. Well maybe its because before i saw it, these people i know at work came in to work this afternoon and told me how bad it was. And hearing some of the reviews, i put two and two together. So when I was watching it, i had this thought that it was going to be really bad, but it wasn't.

The biggest thing was the acting, it was really hit or miss. The character playing Ang had potential, but did a pretty bad job until half way through the movie where you could see him becoming more comfortable.

But WTF M.Night? I hear he actually helped write some of the actual episodes from the show, how did he mess up so much on the script? There was so much that he could of hinted at in the movie, but a lot of things were glossed over or never mentioned.

I walked out of the theater thinking, i would love to see a sequel where he's not the one writing the script and can just sit back and direct. The movie showed so much potentail in many areas, but failed to live up to it. Hopefully did will do fine to the point where the sequels can be green lit.

Night seems like a man who takes criticism and can use it to better his efforts, so i think if he gets the chance for a sequel, it'll be better than the first.

And one more thing, PLEASE PRONOUNCE HIS NAME CORRECTLY. WTF ????

                      I give it a 7.2

Reviews are just killing this. I freaking knew M. Knight would butcher one of my favorite shows. Damn him!

Does he? His movies have only gotten worse and worse over time. I haven't seen this movie, but skipping Stewart Little he went from Great (Sixth Sense), to Good (Unbreakable), to Not Bad (signs), to Meh (The Village), to Really? (Lady in the Water), to Is this a ****ing joke? (The Happening), to ahahahhahahahahahhahaha *deep breath* ahahahahhahahahhaha.

I'm not quite sure I'd say his track record is that of a man who takes criticism and betters his efforts with it.

I loved The Sixth Sense, but he's gone totally downhill since then and is an absolute joke at this point. You hear his name and you know it's going to be a pile of junk. I mean, he went from borderline genius to getting worse reviews than the worst movie I've ever seen in my life... The Hot Chick... That's really, really, really low.

I agree with this. I've been saying for awhile he would ruin this movie but as soon as I heard they had rebooted some of the characters personalities I knew it would be an epic fail.

It was either the Today show or their evening news show that said Paramount has spent 280 million on the film.
