Re: Michael Jackson has passed away

The man was a true original. He took his influences and put his individual touch into it... his voice, his dancing, his stage presence... everything about him was unique; even his personal life.

I guess this might be the first huge world superstar to pass since the internet? I'm not talking about the standard celebrity, but someone the entire world knew, heard of, and can buy his/her merchandise. Admittedly, there aren't many mega-superstars... the Beatles, Elvis are the 2 that come to mind (I can't imagine the merchandising if Elvis lived in this era). But has there been anyone to die since the internet where there was a mass world hording of memorabilia?

I was thinking the same thing... makes it seem even more unbelievable that he died... He sounds and is moving like he was 25 again.

      Crazy.

Interesting when I ask awhile ago could he still dance the same way. Someone said just look at James Brown. He said that becasue I said being 50 years old is going to cause him to slow down. Looks like I was right. He didn't look real fragile though.

So I hear he came out and kick but after they gave him some drugs is that true? Is that the video or is there another one?

How were you right? It was a rehearsal. I seriously doubt he was going all out 100%

It's like trying to judge an NFL team based on their walk-through.

Because I said I was right, gosh! Also, he was 50 years old, yes James was still good, but even he slowed down. Some of that stuff Mike did would be very tough to do at the age of 50.

Side note, has anyone checked out the completed listings on ebay for MJ CD's? I picked up the Number Ones album for 8.99 and someone actually paid 102.50 for it on ebay, thats insane.
I gotcha. I was only curious because many people have buying his stuff in the past week. I would think Amazon or something similar would have plenty in stock, or at least more than a local shop.

Well most people I see buying them are buying in bulk with the intent of selling them which is whats drying out the market right now. Back when I bought the CD's I checked Amazon actually and I believe every single one of his CD's was on a 2-4 week wait time so even Amazon was hit really hard.

Jeez, I heard about this (I was out of the country) and I thought maybe he did a moonwalk and busted out a pleather glove but that....yeah, glad he was fined today.

Anyways just read that Jackson had Diprivan in his system. It's a sedative usually found in hospitals for operations...
