IE is the slowest browser, followed by Firefox, then Opera, Safari and Chrome are all three very close together. When people try other browsers after using IE they always say that IE is faster and they are right, but wrong at the same time. Yes IE is loading your sites faster than the browser you just installed, but that is because of the cache and temporary internet files. The new browser you just installed has no cache loaded and has to collect everything as brand new for every site you visit. Therefore it appears to IE users that other browsers are slower when in fact they aren't at all. If you were to clear everything off of IE, the cache, the history, the cookies, the temp files, and then load a site you frequently visit it will take much longer than usual to load. Do a side-by-side comparison with the other browsers and IE will come in last. Occasionally IE can be faster on some sites than Firefox, but overall it is always bench-marked in last place. That's not my opinion either, IE is consistently the slowest browser and has been for years. Firefox is not as much of a speed boost as Opera, Safari, and Chrome would give you, but it is still somewhat faster. If people like IE the best and want to use it then that's fine. However it IS the slowest, least secure, and least web standard conforming browser available. Again those are not my opinions, but proven facts. I have nothing against MS, but as a web developer IE makes me cry myself to sleep some nights. j/k:wink:

If you already have firefox 3 will it give you a prompt to update to 3.5 or will i have to uninstall 3 and install 3.5?
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Neither. You just run the install file and it installs over it automatically.

Ok, Im getting annoyed with a certain problem Ive been having ever since I updated to the latest Firefox, not 3.0 but 3.5 I think it is. When I load Firefox it doesnt save my open tabs from last time at all and now when I open it it doesnt even load my home page as it goes to a blank page and leaves the address bar blank. Now if I have Firefox open and then click to open it again in a different window then it works fine and loads my homepage correctly but I dont want to basically open Firefox twice or manually tell it to go to my homepage when I have it in the settings correctly. Is this a known problem? Is there something I can do to fix this crap? Why the hell do I bother to save my open session when it doesnt load anyways? This new Firefox update is pure garbage if you ask me and if I could roll back I would seriously consider it.

There is something messed up with FF3.5 because I am also having problems with Ad Block Plus not working right.

I disabled Tab Mix Plus and restarted Firefox and everything worked fine again and loaded my tabs correctly. I then re-enabled Tab Mix Plus and again restarted Firefox and again had no problems so I guess Im good to go for now. If your using Tab Mix Plus as well then maybe consider what I said and either disable it or uninstall it altogether.

Why in the hell did I take so long to try out firefox? I got so tired of IE chugging along that I decided to give it a shot, and I'm so I glad I did. It moves like lighting compared to IE

I just dl'ed Firefox on my computer. I've used it on other computers but never got around to installing it on mine. It's alot better than IE, imo.

There's one question I got though. Is there anyway to make the fonts on Firefox match the ones that were on my IE? I'm asking because when I went on ESPN, the headlines on the side of the page were all stretched out far apart and it just didn't look that nice but on IE the headlines are together and alot more easier to read.

Is it possible to roll back? I'm having big time scrolling issues. I'm typing and things aren't showing up, there are little delays, I have to double/triple/quadruple click stuff.

                          ....its awful.

Is anyone else having a problem where you click on one of your favorites or on a link and it'll come up like the website doesn't exist? So far since getting this new Firefox, it's done that to this site, Indeed.com, and many others.
