Am I the only one who feels like the writing has been especially hokey so far this season? The actors are doing their best to deliver some of the dialogue, but it's just been laughable at times.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I think Christian may have been claimed just like Sayid explaining why his body was not found. He could be doing the smoke monster's bidding. When Ben first brought Locke to the cabin, it was Jacob that Locke saw.
Then, Smokey posing as Christian Shepherd had Claire break the circle of ash that was keeping him out. Jacob fled to the statue, Smokey moved into the cabin, which is why the second time Locke visits it, Christian is there with Claire.Comment

I don't feel like they didn't answer anything. You got to see the family Aaron was supposed to go to, which I was always curious about for one. And also Ethan was not an Other yet or anything, so that was cool. And you saw Claire in the woods and heard about her being infected, which is a question and answer. Plus, you find out more about the infection, which ties back into Season 1.
Plus, I do think this episode was important from a motives/character development standpoint. I mean I want answers more than anything but the show is still at its best when it comes to developing characters.
That family was not real. The psychic made that family up to get claire on the plane cause he knew it was going to crash. In the original story there really wasnt a family in LA waiting for her. Obviously in this new reality there was a family.Comment

No, I know that's why I think it's interesting. Something happened in the parallel reality where now Claire's baby isn't going to bring all this danger if he's raised by another family if the psychic actually set her up with the family -- assuming that element has stayed the same.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). Just a theory

Either way, it would seem possession only works after death, but we never saw Claire die, so she either died before or after being in the cabin with Christian -- I would think after if she's breaking the line of ash.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I'm sure we will see a scene of her death because as stated all woman who give birth on the island die.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I hope they speed up the answers part and stop giving us even more questions. So far this doesn't feel like a "your questions will be answered" final season.
I think whever has/is Locke is not the same as what is in Sayid, Claire, or Christian. We see both Lockes (one dead, one alive) on the beach. Smoke-Locke keeps saying he is dead, like the preview where Sawyer says he thought he was dead and Locke replies "I am".
In the case of Sayid, he was dead but came back. No other body anywhere.
Claire we can't be sure, since we didn't see her die. I think she did die based on something she said right before she dissappeared. Can't recall what it was, but she said something and the guy that speaks to dead people made some comment.
Christian was obviously dead. The body was never found, so we are left to assume that the Christain we see on the island is the same body.
All this leads to more questions than answers at this point. The clock is ticking, and I have a bad feeling that time will run out before we get straight answers on most of stuff we want to know about.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I still think that it'll take one huge reveal and most things will make sense.
Once we get an episode on Jacob and the Smoke Monster's past (probably through an Alpert-centric episode), I think it'll answer a bunch of questions on those three characters. Once those questions are answered, we'll be able to understand the answers to the other questions."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
I assume these different groups of Others are all friends or working together in some way, but maybe that isn't the case? As I was last week, still confused after Aldo said they are trying to protect the Losties from the black smoke. If so, why was Ben summoning it?
After last week and the end of S5, Ben seemed like he wasn't as strong as he was made out to be. If Dogen's Others are trying to protect people from the black smoke, why was Ben able to use it to his advantage previously. Wondering what the disconnect is there.
YP has a good point in that once we find out about one or two people/things, it may open up and shed alot of light.Comment

Re: *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***
Ben summoned it because the immediate danger of the island was in question - and, I think, no matter what - the safety of the Island always seems to be of the absolute most importance. We also don't really know what kind of control Smokey was under when Jacob was alive.Comment
