    *** Lost: Season 6 (Final Season) ***

TV Talk - Lost at Comic-Con 2009 - Here is the final Lost Comic Con presentation. Between the panel and the teasers I think we have an idea of what they may do with the final season. &

The final Lost Panel at the Con happened a few days ago. The link above includes the whole panel.

I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just tell all of you to watch the videos.

I have no doubt Damon and Carlton will deliver a kick *** final season for one of the greatest shows in the history of television.

I hated S5, it did a very poor job of keeping my interest. Hopefully they go out with a bang, the show is (or was) pretty legendary, they don't need a dud ending.

I'm pumped for this season. I'm easy to please, so as long as this season entertains me I'll be happy.

As far as what they said at comic-con, (obviously) alot of what the final seasons is going to depend on is what was the outcome of the detonation.

I for one think they are leaning towards having it worked, but with a crazy twist attached that created another timeline.

P.S Those two guys have really gotten good at answer questions without saying anything.

Damn it, I can't view the Mr. Cluck video and the Oceanic one. Freakin' country restrictions!

I watched the panel a few days ago though and thought it was pretty funny. Can't wait for season to start (even though it's still far away!). It's gonna be a bittersweet feeling when the show finally comes to a close.

Hey guys. I was pretty late to the Lost bandwagon (I caught up on all the seasons last year, before season 5 started) so don't kill me if this has already been addressed, but I found it interesting, if not a cool coincidence.

So I am finishing up my Masters degree in Rehab & Mental Health Counseling and in one of my classes the philosopher John Locke comes up. So then the connection to the Lost character hit me. So the philosopher developed the notion of tabula rasa or that the "mind is a blank slate". Wikipedia says that he was the first philosopher to define the self through a continuity of "consciousness". Further in the wikipedia article, it says that Locke influenced other philosophers such as David Hume and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Lost has Desmond Hume and Danielle Rousseau.

I don't know how many people read the Entertainment Weekly column on Lost (which is actually pretty good), but the author thinks that the detonation at the end of season 5 might serve to reset everything back to the exact time each Lost member was touched by Jacob (blank slate anyone?) Except that the people that were touched would be able to remember what happened up until the point of detonation and the final season would be spent trying to get back to the island.

Anyway, I just thought that the connection of Lost members to philosophers was cool.

                          Thoughts?

that a bit far fetched because most of them were kids when they were touched by jacob

I honestly don't think anyone knows what they'll do in the final season. There's just too many possibilities.

I'll tell you this, there is definitely no way that the past was changed. That would be the biggest cop out in television and Lindeloff and Cuse know it. Now, if they can find a way to do that while still making all five seasons relevant...well, then, they'd be the first to pull it off.
