So where did Diary veer off course,( in the opinion of those who think it did) ?
It just felt like his primary goal was to comment on contemporary society, in this case how the media protrays things and how we are in a sense the media these days with YouTube and all that. Which I can respect, but he seemed to want to do that at the expense of making a good film.

I remember watching it thinking to myself at least 5 or 6 times "Damn did these guys actually watch the movie before putting it out there?" It just seemed like a lack of effort, completely horrendous acting, tremedously stupid decisions by the characters even by horror movie standards, and I never once felt even a little disturbed, let alone frightened.

This is the epitome of a rental movie. I'd never part with cinema dollars on this. And I'm a massive zombie movie fan, but they just only have so much they can do with the genre.

Oh, I agree, but they were good movies.

Day, Land, and Diary..not so much.

For those interested, you can now watch this film on your Comcast Video on Demand, XBL, or PSN. I just d/l the HD version off of PSN, will watch it tomorrow. It comes in theaters 5/28, but again, a limited release.
