Love the new album. I'd like an acoustic only album to but I'm cool with the mix.

Bought 2 of the songs off iTunes(Heartbreak Warfare and Edge of Desire). Solid stuff.

I bought this yesterday. It's very good, although I think I still like Continuum better.

One of the best artists this decade imo. I fox with Mayer. He's one of the few artists I wouldn't mind seeing live. This album is really good too, downloaded it from Amazon.

This is a pretty lame album. Definitely lacks the passion, soul and risks of some earlier Mayer albums. It's pretty safe, middle-of-the-road, preach-to-the-choir material.

Mayer is too gifted to go through the motions like this.

            Take care,

SOMEONE ELSE AGREES HE HAS SOLD OUT... THANK YOU

He could be doing much better work... most of the songs on this album just lack what makes his songs so good

He's been all downhill since Heavier Things, IMO, but it's still a good album. I'd rank his albums as:

                1. Heavier Things
                2. Room For Squares
                3. Continuum
                4. Battle Studies

His songs from this album sounded so much more legit when he was singing them live with no production.

I just knew once he put them in the studio they would come out sounding like meh

Can you really sell out when your first album had "Your Body is a Wonderland" on it, a song obviously made for commercial success and nothing else since he doesn't even do it live anymore?

That's the one song of his that I really don't like.

There are a couple really good songs but most aren't that great. Heartbreak Warfare is definitely going to be in a couple romantic comedies.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Listening to this now. I have always like Mayer but never listened to any of his non mainstream stuff. Liking what I hear, very very easy listening.
