I don't really remember laughing at all during the episode. Not good imo. Last weeks (the picture one) was much better, but that's not saying much. Oh well, I'm still in for the long haul.

I laughed at a couple of things, but the story was beyond stupid.Comment

IMO one of the worst episodes. I don't think I laughed at all and that is a first for this series for me.Comment

the last thing that made me laugh in this show is
"MY BALLS WERE BLEU" and that was from a few weeks ago. Been a weak run.HELLO BROOKYLN.

A step in the right direction, but it still seems to lack direction and some of the creativity we've seen, although I did enjoy the reminiscing of Barney and Ted's mom.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

Ted episodes generally aren't comical, but more on the drama side.
If they're going to focus on him more, at least have him meet someone.Twitter

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 5
I dunno...Marshall's always been teetering on the brink...lol. I still like him though.
Ted is what bothers me. For anyone who ever watched Friends, he's following the same progression as Ross. He started out as the nerdy, but likable guy who just wants to get the girl. He has gradually turned into this whiny douche who even the other characters make a mockery of. Even my wife (who is sympathetic to a fault) went from thinking he's "such a cutie" to wanting to slap him.
Still a fan of the show, but I've gone from "can't wait to see it" to "oh cool...it's on this week."Comment

It doesn't help this show at all that its followed by Patrick Warburton's deadpan awesomeness. Doesn't help it at all.HELLO BROOKYLN.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 5
What, in my opinion, has killed How I Met Your Mother is the scheduling setup by CBS. The show has been off and on all season. Not having a consistent airing schedule just ruins the flow of the show.
I will admit that the writing this season has been sub-par in comparison to season's 1-4, but I feel that had the show aired on a somewhat consistent basis, the overall judgment of the season would be higher.Comment

What's killed this season has been awful episodes and no overarching story. I don't really care about meeting the mother, but at least in the past the bad episodes typically tied in some way to the overall plot. There's really nothing interesting about this season other than the 2 or 3 Barney carried episodes and Jenkins.Comment
