Its a problem some people still don't have broadband and want roster updates for madden nfl 10.

The link is to a how to video that shows how to hook up your xbox 360 to connect to xbox live using your computer.

You have been here for awhile, so why would you post this in the entertainment section?

        And Seriously, Dial up?

I'm thinking most people on dial-up isn't on Xbox Live... but hey, useful info for those that are.

I want to meet somebody who's willing to pay 7.99 a month for live, but won't spend the $20ish a month for a decent internet connection.

unfortunately, not everyone can get better than dialup where they are.

Those people can use those new wireless high speed usb modems from your cell phone companies. One example of a carrier is Cricket Wireless or Verizon. Maybe even At&t. I hear they're really fast and easy to install on the Xbox 360.

Not everyone can get high speed data coverage over cell systems either.

i just don't understand why you would choose to pay for a service that specifically says "broadband only" if you don't qualify for that requirement. you don't buy a car and push it everywhere you need to go because you can't afford gas.

You do realize that not everyone has cell phone reception where they live?

Xbox Live Silver is free, so there is no need to pay for anything. This isn't for people who want to actually play against other people online (I don't think you could do that on Dial-Up), this is for people who want to download roster updates and such from Xbox Live.

If you cannot afford broadband why are you spending $ on a $300 console?

j/k useful if you have dial up

Again, there are actually some places still that don't get access to broadband.
