    Paranormal Activity

It was made a couple of years ago and only showed at film festivals, but now it is releasing in select theaters as a limited showing. If your city demands it enough, they will show it there. It's here in San Diego but only one screening per night on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at midnight. Needless to say, it's been completely sold out here. I'll try and get a viewing in if possible, but until then I don't know if I'll be able to.

The trailer made it look pretty awesome and the reviews are astonishingly good as well. I would like to give this a theater viewing before it's gone. I was wondering what anyone else who saw this thought of it?

Gave me the chills just reading the description. Looks great! I love a good horror flick.

Please post a review, I may have to travel to another city to see this movie. The selective showings for this movie may really work out because the buzz this movie has created is great.

This movie was made by one of the former (he got paid when Paramount bought the flick) programmers for MLB The Show. Just a nice side note I thought you guys would get a kick out of. He shot it in his own house here in SD for 11k and its based on his personal experiences as a kid.

I was talking to Oren months ago about ghosts and I had no idea this was his movie.

Anyway I got to see it last Thursday night at the midnight showing. There were so many people (over 1k) they had to show it on 3 screens I think.

Its a 94% on RT for a reason its really that good. It's a good movie period without it being a horror flick I absolutely loved how he shot it and paced the scenes. On the horror part while I don't think it will scare any grown *** men your wife or girl will probably be scarred to death. There were more than handful of college girls who walked out halfway through.

While it wasn't scary for me I was freaked the hell out, think Exorcist and the Entity. Its that type of horror no blood no gore and I can't say anything else without spoiling something.

But I will say this the last 30 minutes of this film was easily one of if not the most creepy, scary, disturbing, scenes I have seen in a horror movie in at least 5 to 7 years.

That's freaken awesome. I am so sick of the crappy horror movies like Saw and all those gory movies. Horror movies today rely too much on blood and guts. To this day my Favorite horror movie is Poltergeist, so this movie is gonna be right up my ally.

I really didn't think the movie was that scary at all. No scene really freaked me out and I found it pretty predictable. I wouldn't drive to another city to go see this movie, but that's just me.

Interesting. From what I seen from the previews the guy that made this must of had a scary *** childhood or a vivid imagination.

I saw this movie on the 1st and everyone in the theater was way into it. My friend, who is a girl, couldn't watch the screen. The movie gave me genuine chills I haven't felt since watching The Exorcist. One of, if not the best, movie watching experiences I've been to. It's got a few laughs in between the scares as well. Also it's not a movie that relies on "suprise" scares. As you watch the movie, you'll know when the scary scenes will occur but it still doesn't take anything away from the film.
Here's a confession: I'm in love with a man. What? I'm in love with a man... a man named God. Does that make me gay? Am I gay for God? You betcha.
