There aren't too many top critics, even in a listed twelve that reviewed it, that are eight years old.

Its a scientific fact that 8 year old girls are more easily scared than 8 year old boys. Look it up.

Seen it last night and maybe it's just me but I didn't find this movie to be scary not one bit. Actually found it boring and was drifting in and out of sleep throughout it.

Finally saw this tonight. It was very tense, very good. I do recommend that people see it, and hope everyone else has some serious "Oh ****" moments.

I would like to see the other alternate endings that were filmed, though. I read one that was actually pretty decent and that I probably would have preferred.

Yeah it was good. More suspenseful than scary, because you ASSUME something scary is gonna happen every 5 minutes.
But yeah, def a good movie.

It was a pretty good movie. However, I didn't find it scary either. I tell ya though, those little girls were screaming every two minutes at stuff that wasn't even scary. Really aggravating.

                          Re: Paranormal Activity

The problem I have with a movie like this is it being based on nothing.

I just can't get into them. I'm not saying that makes it bad. I just can't get into it when I know that whatever is happening isn't actually real.

If you put me in a haunted house and had that stuff happening, I'll feel it. I had enough of my own ghost stories when I was a kid and I can share many more from my mother. The stuff is real and it's crazy. But, seeing it on film doesn't compare to experiencing the real thing yourself. So I guess I'm a bit spoiled.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

I really want to see this movie, but I'm afraid I will be dissapointed. Especially after falling for the Blair Witch Hype 10 years ago. That was the most overrated piece of crap I ever seen.
