How many different endings are there?
See that ruins the experience, I saw the movie without seeing any trailor or commercial and loved it. But if you watch the commercials it shows the whole audience jumping, and its not that kind of movie. Anyways there are 3 endings.

The mockumentary style lends itself to that "edge of your seat" feeling and anticipation even without seeing the trailer or the commercials, though. With typical horror movie styles, you have keys such as the soundtrack creating tension or the camera switching to the monster's view point, but with this style of film the viewer doesn't have that luxury of knowing when to anticipate **** going down and when they can calm down. After the first viewing, you know when to expect things to happen, so I think that would take away from the experience quite a bit.

What are the endings? I got:

            Re: Paranormal Activity

I just received the following in my e-mail:

Wow, what a sellout this has become.

Now, this says nothing about which alternate ending is included. Honestly, I hope they include both alternate endings, especially the one that only one test-screening ever saw. I really think that one could be the one I'd like the most aside from the theatrical ending. I hear the other alternate one, while looking maybe better on paper, is rather anti-climatic and kind of off-pace from the rest of the movie in a sense.

Anyway, looks like there are plans for this one to come out before the new year.

Great. I never got the chance to see it in theaters, so I'm eagerly anticipating the blu-ray.

I don't think I would buy this. Glad I saw it and it was enjoyable, but I don't think I would enjoy it after more than one viewing.

I would for the sheer fact that not everyone has seen this, and I can definitely see it over and over with new people every so often, as I can with most movies I enjoy.

I'll buy it, but I definitely want to wait for a cheaper price.

Saw it last night with the girlfriend... not in the theaters, but on the laptop connected to the TV via HDMI cable. I thought it was very well done. Not scary per se, but kept me very tense.
