Blair Witch lacked the technical details as well as a detailed and believable story to truly excel. The viral marketing was a scam that everyone could see through and the shaking camera effects were the sign of incompetence that could only be pulled off by a loser. Overall, the movie was very plain and failed in multiple areas. An unsuccessful venture that is constantly overrated by those who don't appreciate any of the finer points of movies.

I just saw it and wow I loved it. I thought it was scary and the scenes at night were really really creepy. If you liked Blair Witch you will like this, if you hated it then you probably wont like it.

I also loved the bedroom scenes. This movie was very suspensful. It also made me laugh a lot in between "scary scenes." The couple in the movie were great together.

I can't stop thinking about that last scene, that smile was truly creepy.

Saw it last night, It was good for what it was. More suspenseful than scary. I did watch about 10 people get up and leave. It seemed after every bedroom scene a couple people got up and left. First time i've ever seen that.

                            Re: Paranormal Activity

This movie didn’t live up to the hype. There wasn’t even one single scary moment in the film. The movie was boring and predictable. The only redeeming quality of the film was the performance by Katie Featherston.

Paranormal Activity doesn’t even belong in the same sentence as the great Blair Witch Project. The Blair Witch Project was a lot more suspenseful and the ending made a greater impact on me. I've seen the original and current ending, and I prefer the current version.

The whole “documentary footage” left behind angle isn’t impactful because it was already done before behind a much better PR campaign. Paranormal Activity is just one “horror” cliché after another. I could list them here but I don’t want to spoil the so called “scary” parts.

                            Movie Grade: C

Edit: It looks like there is a 3rd ending so I've only seen 2 out of the 3.

I just got home from seeing this with my brother and some friends and I would have to say that we all loved it. I've seen thousands of scary movies, most of which never bother me, but I'm not ashamed to admit this one freaked me out. Without going into detail and ruining it for those that haven't seen it yet, I'll just say that the ending scared the **** out of me. Great move in my opinion.
