The Way Too Early Black Friday wishlist thread

In a little less than 2 months, another Black Friday will be here. What do you have on your BF shopping list? Are you going to brave the crowds or do it online? Any pricing predictions?

My insurance company is giving me $500 to replace my stolen HDTV. Hoping to find a good 42 inch plasma (or lcd) right around that price.

Only other things on the list: cheap Digital picture frame ($40ish), decent GPS for under $100, and another profile 1.1 or better blu ray player ($100ish).

A Kindle which will save my library a whole lot of space because i'm running out and a new HDTV since my PoS TV's company is bankrupt and doesn't exist anymore so i can't get it fixed. stupid PoS TV. Other than that there isn't much else.

Definitely looking to snack on some Blu-ray disc deals. I don't really know what else, maybe another PS3 controller (last year Radio Shack had a great deal at like $25, but they were all sold out already).
      Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60

It's looking like 42 inch HDTVs is what manufacturers are trying to move. I won't be surprised to see a $500 720p Plasma or LCD come black friday.

I'm probably in the market for one between 37" (my current POS TV) and 42" due to space. I'm hoping that some good 1080p's at that size are low cost.

While I don't recommend HTIBs (home theater in a box), if you do decide to go that route try and get a Onkyo system. Much cleaner sound than a Sony, RCA, Panasonic, etc.

You can "build" (buying the parts separate) a quality system that takes advantage of HD audio on blu rays for around $400-450.

Bestbuy usually has a set of klipsch speakers for around 50% off, around $200-250.

True. I need to upgrade my fronts....currently have a pioneer center and Sony towers for left and right.

Would love to move the Sonys to the rears.

That tv doesn't appear to have RCA outs for regular tv viewing w/ an antenna. That would be a deal breaker for me since I get my HD channels OTA.

If you have cable or satellite it wouldn't be a problem.

Here is the early Sears Black Friday ad. Nice to see these start rolling in.

RCA outputs? It has an antenna/cable input which is what you need for OTA. (I have this TV and all I have is OTA :wink

I don't like HTIBs either, but it's for my room and by cheap I mean under $150 lol
