The only albums that didn't retain their songs for me were DVD concerts I ripped.
Everything else (maybe there was the odd song, can't remember) came through properly.

But I lost any artwork I purchased through iTunes (the liner notes). Now, I try to make it a point to back everything up.

This is just for my own sake, so don't think I'm belaboring the point; I just want to be clear.

The original mp3 was formatted in the way I mentioned previously, and not some random collection of letter and numbers?

I'm not talking about the Tag data that gets read from in iTunes, that stuff will always be intact. I'm talking about the actual file name in the folder where the mp3 is.

I used pod to pc last nite and it appears to have worked fine. There is some editing that I need to do to the "genre" tags. I still didn't see Blueprint 3 in my itunes even though it shows on the program list. I didn't have to recover everything as I do have most of my music backed up on my external hard drive. I was trying to save a lot of recently "acquired" music that I had yet back up on the external. Only drawback to the program is that unless you buy the full version, it only transfers 10 songs @ a time with a :60 wait time in between transfers. Not bad but it's a bit tedious. Full program is only $10 but I didn't want to buy it. Aaron is correct, I do have a Touch.
