Tyra's supposed to be back in Season 5, she was shooting a film when they were shooting S4. I'm not sure how long she'll be back, because, like Ruff said, they don't really talk about her much in S4. There's another character who's story is wrapped up in S4, so you'll see that in the coming weeks. I'm sure Tyra's will be similar next season.Comment

Just spent the last couple weeks watching the whole show.
Season 4 desperately missed Tyra. Desperately. She just added so much to the show, it was crazy. Not to mention she was crazy hot. But all of the new characters were good, although the black girl seemed out of place at times with Landry. Like they felt they had to add a new dancer to show during the football scenes.
I hope Season 5 gives Landry and Tyra a happy ending, or a happy ending for her period. The scene in Season 3 where she gets accepted to college may be one of my favorite scenes ever.
By the way, has there ever been a more annoying main character in a show like this than Tami? My god, it is the most annoying character ever. Luckily the rest of the characters are so great that they pick her up, but I feel half of the scenes are forced in there for her. Like, do we have to see her and Eric in the bed like twice every episode, and them reassuring each other? We get it. Stop trying to force Tami on us. She's not a dynamic character at all.Comment

Disagree. Her character helped Tim Riggins grow as a character and establish Landry (more importantly) as a main character. She started off grating and annoying and you finally began to appreciate her for what she was. She was kind of like Lyla's character, I hated her in the first season and a half and then you grow to like her. That never happened to me with the Tami character. She is kind of a useless character. Well, i wouldn't say useless. But she shouldn't be the 2nd lead on the show behind Eric. The show was at its best when it was Coach/Smash/Tim/Saracen/Julie/Tyra/Street.. and to a lesser extent.. Billy, who has been a great bit character in the show for many years.
Not to say that the show isn't good now, because it is. But it was great when all of those were involved, and when Tami didn't get so much screentime (as the principal.. I mean, who really cares?)Comment
