Re: Sequel to Roger Rabbit is in the works.
A sequel? That's pretty cool. I kind of like the cheap looking animation/live-action mix that was impressive at that time, but still looked a bit cheesy.
I realize that they'll be able to make it look amazing by the time this sequel is released, but I kind of feel like it'll lose that edge because of that."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Anyways as long as they keep the cartoon characters as cell animated rather then CGI this could be good. Find a way to bring Bob Hoskins back too!Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I'm talking about the original film. It was good for that era, but it's not like it wasn't obvious that the people and the cartoons weren't in the same space."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. I see what you mean I thought you meant the animation of the characters themselves.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Sequel to Roger Rabbit is in the works.
Seems like it'd be difficult to get close to capturing the magic of the original. The first one was not only well written, but was something of a technological marvel when it came out. But that was before computer animation and Pixar completely took over.HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Re: Sequel to Roger Rabbit is in the works.
I hope they don't mess this up and add new characters like Sponge Bob. Mel Blanc did a lot of voices on the original and he died. I know his son could do the voices too, and there was a recent Looney Toons movie with Brendan Fraser, so who knows.Comment

Re: Sequel to Roger Rabbit is in the works.
His son does a pretty good job on most of the voices. I know there's a regular person (don't know his name but not Blanc's son) that does Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck's voice.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
