I don't know the answer to who she is but my guess about significance is that she was the only one that had never done a voice role before?

Or maybe she was the only one that didn't have a live role on the film as well.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Without looking it up because I know the answer but it's a bit vague in my memory now. I believe the voice actress was Kathleen Turner and the significance was that Jessica Rabbit's look was modeled a bit on her from another movie she did.

SPTO - correct on Jessica Turner. Incorrect on the significance

YP - incorrect as far as I know on your guesses.

Hint: It has something to do with recognition.

Kathleen Turner isn't in the credits.

I think this is an awful idea. Roger Rabbit was a breakthrough in cinematography, "graphics" and animations and on top of that, the characters (voice and actors) were downright amazing. To remake a movie like this would be a damn shame because it's considered by many to be a movie classic.

On top of that, I seriously don't see Disney & Warner Bros allowing all their properties to be cross-promoted.

People said that when the first movie was in the works so i don't think that's nearly as big an issue as you make it out to be.

BTW thanks on the Kathleen Turner info there. I knew I had the actress and such right. I didn't know she wasn't in the credits tho.

                    but it's not a remake, it's a sequel

Exactly. They've been throwing around ideas for a sequel/prequel ever since the first one came out and was a success.

According to wiki, Zemeckis is still interested in the project and that cartoon characters would be 2D, but everything else would be MoCap.
