Personally that's a huge deal for me. Ever since being able to do this, I've utilized it immensely.

That comercial did reverse advertisement. At&t comes back with a new add that tells me verizon is right. He starts listing all the places they have service??? Well all that did was make me say, "ok you got the major cites coverd what happenes when i leave the cities. I think i could recognize EVERY place he listed. They should have tried listing places you dont know or didnt even know exsisted. I actually felt sad for how poor of an attempt back it is.

Yeah, what was that all about? He started naming off cities like Chicago, San Francisco, etc. Of course you have coverage in those huge cities, what about everywhere else? Completely ineffective response by AT&T.

If Verizon is ever able to get the iPhone, there will be a mass exodus from AT&T.

Verizon will need to move to sim cards and get rid of their lock down on the phones software (which they may have already began, but don't have them, so I don't know how the new phones are).

I've had no problems with either of them, I was always able to get a signal with both. Lets also be honest here, what are the speeds that Verizon is claiming in these smaller towns and do these places have a comparable wired solution to 3g speeds.

I just saw the bowling one where they ask if my coverage map was in the way, but you can see through it. That one was funny.

AT&T has been really good for me. I get dropped calls at work, but service on the 22nd floor isn't the best anyway, so I never cared much.

My only real complaint is the data network dropping like once or twice a week. You'll browse and suddenly you get a x00088 error or something and links don't work. It's frustrating but I usually just restart my phone and I'm good to go.

What is funny about the commercial is that they talk about coverage, where as verizon uses the maps to talk about 3g coverage not just coverage.

That's what amuses me...they're not refuting anything Verizon said, just talking about other stuff...

i do find it funny on the verizon commerical it says you get 3g here in anchorage. that is false. my friend has verizon and his internet does not work. and they use the ATT towers for cell reception.

I listen to Howard Stern everyday and when he had AT&T he would always complain about dropped calles. Since Stern has about 7 million listeners a day, it was horrible press for AT&T. He switched to Verizon a few weeks back and he has no complaints.

Me personally, I have never had any problems with verizon so I never switched. As much as I want an iphone, Verizons solid coverage keeps me with them.

My brother works for verizon and he is raving about this new htc snapdragon that'll be coming out. Supposedly 1 ghz speed phone, with a 5 mp camera, 4.3 inch touchscreen display with android 2.0 os. Sounds like it could be a true iphone competitor. He was saying it's so fast that if the phone is completely off that it'll turn on as fast as a tv can.

I really don't know what most of the specs mean but he says it'll be extremely fast and on verizon's network it'll be a huge seller.

My work cell was with Verizon and I never lost any calls. Amazing service. Then my employer went exclusively with AT&T and I might as well throw my cell out the window. As long as I'm in my home office I'm fine, but if I'm in the car I lose about 10% of my calls. And that doesn't include the "can you hear me? What about now?" crap that goes on constantly with AT&T.

well now that Verizon finally has WiFi phones, you can certainly talk and use WiFi at the same time, which makes the data/phone argument a little less relevant. The apple/att response has been weak, but verizon had the advantage with being able to line up their shots and fire first.

Regardless, we should all like when companies fight like this. It lights a fire under their asses, which gets them to try to out do each other. We usually win.
